Man, his vector thrust was thrown totally out of sync with the back rudder and down pressurization technique. He should re-stabilized his drag system into G mode and backed off the trac-pads. Then he could have landed.
I don't think so. The wind was too much, don't you think he was pressing on the rudder? Even if he got aligned with the runway, can't you see the plane shaking in the last 10 or so seconds?
The customary rudder deflection at the last minute in cross wind landingd wouldn't have helped. That's done simply to lighn up with the runway but this guy just din't have control of the airplane at all.
a320 series and higher (a330,340,etc) can't stall that easily, the "alpha-floor-protection" automatically switsches to "take off - go around thrust" at too low speeds to prevent stalls.

I've been in similar situations - it doesn't look as bad from in the cabin and most pax don't realize anything is wring until after it has happened.

ATC error.
Atc should inform about conditions change in final..
This results in wrong angle of descent, and to low speed.
Pilot had no change to land even if he got aligned, as he would not get lift on right wing.
Correct 40 % flap, less descent angle and higher speed would solve this fellow pilots problem.
