@camsac. you see that he is going in 4th gear into the corner, the before he turns the wheel he puts in the 2 gear and releases the clutch fast that couses the wheels to lock up and acts like a hand brake

@camsac Not so difficult. He holds the clutch down, gear down from 4th to 2nd(!), keeps clutch down and right after turning hard he puts the clutch back into play. At this point the weels block for a while and it's like handbraking. ;)

the flapping sound at the end is a delaminated tyre ( or blown ) and he is slamming it back to second to get compression lock feinting into the drift than power on. its the way to drive these old gals!

Without a handbrake that locks the rear wheels (all R31s are notorious for this) You have to either compression lock it, or just turn in real hard and tromp it, or maybe mix a clutch kick into that as well.

Well I was partly right.....same motor lol

Since Holden couldn't build their own injected motor....they had to use Skyline motors.

To this day they STILL don't design their own motors....or much else on the car.
