@Dsamuelhs that part was the previouse sprocket holder which kept the sprocket on the rear axle, i just cut it down and welded it onto the new sprocket
@leaperd27 well the box section i was using the for the chassis was 20mm x 20mm and got 21metres of that which was roughly £30 - £40 , Seat and rear spring was free from a local scrap yard, set of wheels £100 from a tractor, front springs were £16 on ebay, clutch was £40 but bought it in from america, sprocket and chain came to around £20 and the rest of the supplies i got from my college including the rear axle which was off a sports go kart. reply if you need more help/advise and good luck:)
