@thesportsdude90 It's only within the past 20 years that the NWS changed the definition of a "blizzard" in the United States. It used to be that temperature indeed WAS a criterion. Temp had to be below 20F-- along with the wind speed requirement and the visibility requirement-- to be considered a "blizzard".
Not New Enganders. The media calls them blizzards just to put folks in panic mode to make them stock up on unnecessary supplies. Most people here just call them snow storms.

I lived in Southboro during this storm. We officially measured 36" of snow. The airport in Worcester actually had 33"! :)
