  • @thesportsdude90 It's only within the past 20 years that the NWS changed the definition of a "blizzard" in the United States. It used to be that temperature indeed WAS a criterion. Temp had to be below 20F-- along with the wind speed requirement and the visibility requirement-- to be considered a "blizzard".

  • @steve05401 I'm glad you said that, I always thought the temp played into the blizzard criteria, but no one mentions it anymore.

  • Not New Enganders. The media calls them blizzards just to put folks in panic mode to make them stock up on unnecessary supplies. Most people here just call them snow storms.

  • new englanders call everything a blizzard even if its 31F

  • @ajgolfer1 Your mother is a blizzard.

  • @loonmaniac exactly why I would be able to recognize one from a hole in my ass unlike you.

  • @ajgolfer1 blizzard has nothing to do with temperature. its sustained 40 mph winds with significant snow,

  • Just a trace fell at Nantucket. Marthas Vineyard got 5"

  • Did Gary LaPierre retire from 'BZ?

  • Tracking is a little rotten, low-pitched.

  • This set kicked big ass back in those two years of having that.

  • Worcester got 31 inches of snow

  • I had to dive from southboro to worcester in this..mr car died in the driveway!!!

  • I lived in Southboro during this storm. We officially measured 36" of snow. The airport in Worcester actually had 33"! :)
