To clarify on that latter: the RPA were battleharded and well-armed soldiers, in contrast to the interhamwe and Impuzamugambi, who were unexperienced and poorly armed militia.

though widespread, it was not something a majority volunteered for. The Interhamwe were strategically implanted virtually everywhere, but that does not mean that everyone in those places collaborated. If most bahutu had participated , the eradication of batutsi would have been unavoidable.

I know you are right as white supremacy is the poison @ the base of ethnic "conflict" starting w/ Mother Africa. The impact of the Belgium, British, German and other Europeans on Africa is well documented. It's not surprising that European/Western (I consider them the same white supremacy) influence continues today as they have never let go of their "plantation mentality" of supremacy. That is ridiculous. Yes, Rwanda may have taken on these countries, but Angola is more powerful now than it was before. They have su-27's these are fourth generation fighter aircraft. Rwanda does not even have fighter aircraft. You also must remember that Angola won the last Congo war or Kabila would not have been in power.

Not true. Angola does not have any su-27...they use old russian su-20 which is outdated anyways. And if Angola had su-27s, they would still loose against rwanda for the fact that Rwanda uses American technology in their army which is current and Angola uses old Russian equipements. Trust me look up the angolan air force on wikipedia and you will see that they do have su-27s. In my opinion their strategy was to get Laurent Nkunda to rebel and fight a civil war in Congo that would bring Tutsis to power. Angola would not want to intervene because this would be an invasion of a sovereign nation. As long as Nkunda did not challenge Angola the Angolans could not attack. However, Nkunda did challenge him. I think this made Rwanda feel he had outlived his usefullness.

The hutu interhamwe carried out massacres on batutsi, while the tutsi RPF exacted vengeance on bahutu: there was no side without blood on their hands.
The interhamwe no longer exists and the whereabouts of former members are unknown. Yet, just like that, the RPF has decided that they al must be hiding on the rich Congolese soil.

i agree to some extent, the blame does fall on both but mainly the hutus, millions? definitely. 800,000 is a rough estimate from those that were found, found that it. many were thrown into latrines, others buried, others eaten by dogs and others thrown into the nyabarongo and other rivers. the death toll definitely reached millions. no doubt

nah man. the patricipation was widespread. the interahamwe and impuzamugambi approached and recruitedfrom every province to district possible, you were required to participate in one way or another and it was rwanda's final solution, they tried to eliminate all tutsis, even when they ran out of tutsis to kill they went searching around in marshes, churches etc every last tutsi was to be killed. the rpa was fearless unlike the interahamwe and far who retreated in fear of reprisals.

To clarify on that latter: the RPA were battleharded and well-armed soldiers, in contrast to the interhamwe and Impuzamugambi, who were unexperienced and poorly armed militia.
Back on the participation:
though widespread, it was not something a majority volunteered for. The Interhamwe were strategically implanted virtually everywhere, but that does not mean that everyone in those places collaborated. If most bahutu had participated , the eradication of batutsi would have been unavoidable.

The interhamwe and impuzamugambi were armed with little more than machetes. They certainly had received no formation from the French - contrary to the RPA, that had received logistic support and formation from the US.
It were just peasants up against mercenaries.
No-one can really tell how many or how few bahutu leaked information on the locations of batutsi, so prejudice is speaking here.
And only in imagination could interhamwe have read "extremist" or "moderate" from people's foreheads.

the french had trained ex-FAR fighters who in turn trained the interahamwe, and through support in helping contain the rpa's advance, yes the french did train them. man, have u been to rwanda? small country, people know, you cannot hide the truth, back then, if u werent complicit in one way u had to be in another, oh and yea, only few in the rpa had training from the USA, they had experience from the Ugandan Bush war, Karegeya, Bayingana, Rwigema, Bunyenyezi and others.

it was actually 4 years, because the RPA invasion was in 1990 and the french were there to contain it and train the rwandan hutu nationalists how to contain it. and it was more than enough time to learn, the British marines have training thats 18months, the french had been training the extremists in Rwanda for 4 years. You didnt require a lie detector to tell who was moderate or not, lists had been set up according to what party one belonged to ahead of time, so the moderate hutus were dead

But if it weren't for massacres committed by the RPF on bahutu, prior to the ceasefire, Rwandan militia might not suddenly have turned upon all batutsi they could find within the Rwandan borders in 1994.
None would have believed the propaganda, that all batutsi were uniting to lay waste to all bahutu, if it weren't for the RPF's cruelty.

It's quite simple:
1) Congo has lots of mineral riches,
2) the USA and several European countries want them,
3) Kabila sells them to China instead,
4) The USA conspires with Kagame to get them,
5) Kagame dispatches Nkunda to go get them for him,
6) Kabila surrenders them to Kagame in exchange for Nkunda's removal,
7) Kagame sells them to the USA and both get richer, while Congo loses out on economic developpement.
