Well I can't believe my eyes, I can't believe it's the same radio... but I knew you could do it. Can't believe my ears either! Sounds great! Much better at your place looking and sounding so fine, instead of in the landfill.
Great work, Bill!! I can picture me, my wife, and her 90-year old Mom all hunched around that radio listening to a World Series game of the St. Louis Cardinals, or hearing Glenn Miller tunes late on a Saturday night!!!
2 thumbs up!!! you saved it! that's sounded good.you saved a piece of history that would've ended up in a landfill.thanks for the update and enjoy the radio.cheers.
A really nice job. You should be proud of yourself. You should be able to find some knobs on Ebay. They're not that expensive, although you probably would have to pay more for the knobs than you did for the radio. It's nice to hear some music on the AM Broadcast Band for a change. Tom
Nice job, especially since you had no previous experience restoring one of these sets. It's an art to get these back to new condition, and it appears you have a talent for it. Cheers!
wow another fantastic job. Challenge won. Thumbs job ..

It sounds great - nice job! Philco used water soluble ink on their dials, but you can use mineral spirits to clean them safely.
