You're welcome. As far as I know, Bobby is still performing and is frequently backed by a band called the Vees, which includes his sons. I saw them 3 years ago and they were very good.
I had the pleasure of working with Bobby on two occasions...I opened his show a few years back in Wirral (U.K.) and in Wales....Over a few coffees we chatted about his records and his career....He is the nicest gentlest guy I have ever met...an absolute delight...what you see is what you get - a thorough gentleman (photo on my website donwoods.co.uk)
Could not agree more, Don. A friend and I saw Bobby perform at a small club back in the 80s. Between his sets there was an hour intermission. We ended up talking with him in the dressing room for 45 minutes. A really great guy. Don, I checked out your website. All I can say is WOW! You certainly have met and worked with many people! Loved your line about "Play it, James."
In the late 60's I drove my sister to see him at Springlake Amusement Park in Okla. City. The concert was free(after gate admission). Sometime later, the Who also appeared there(on the roof of the snack bar). Both shows were good, tho' at the time,I wasn't a big fan of Robert Velline.
Is that Glenn Stetson doing the intro?

This is a great song from the sixties, but looking at the audience, I am so glad it's not the 80s any more!!!

I'm the itty bitty baby with the headband! Can't believe I found this! And it was '88, not '89. :)
