Scratch built. This engine goes about 15 mph and I ran it at OCME and MLS this spring. I sold it to a friend in LALS recently. I have several engines.
@CGiordano464 Anything over 12 mph feels like you are going way too fast. I recommend buying a motorcycle instead. Unsafe operation is frowned upon in the hobby, and speed competition is a sure way to get thrown out of a railroad club or private layout.
@TYMMCHN well yes i do but we have a 1200 foot long striaght awayat r club and sometimes we get up going way over 12mph and u wouldnt even know it. even on the steam locos sometimes.

@TYMMCHN how fast do u think u could a little electric to get up to. would 30 be to dangerous?
