  • so i watched this to see if i could hear it - but all i could hear is stupid people yelling. can you hear it from there or not? is it worth a 2+ hour drive and hours and hours of wating or is it just going to be people like this yelling in my ear?

  • @mitsevo20 Yes, you can hear it.

  • I live in Titusville! i watch theese allllll the time!! all i have to do is walk outside my house and just sit down and watch it. Floridians have no idea how lucky we are to have the shuttle. it is amazing when you watch from upclose. my mother works at NASA ^_^

  • @lillyflower321 Mind if I hangout with you for a day? lol

  • @riahmatic XD suuuurrreeee!!!!

  • Erm...Americans......stop whistling!! I can't hear the engines LOL

  • annoying camera work...

  • This is youtube, not masterpiece theatre.

  • @deinemuse lmfao, true but you could of done better but anyways nice place to get this on video

  • "Where is it?!" and "Is it gonna come over us?" lmao!!! This musta been the viewing section for the not-quite-all-there female crowd.

  • ROFL

I couldn't help but laughing when some hillbilly woman said "IS IT GONNA COME OVER US?!".

    XD

  • Very nice video....awesome party too!!

  • Actual distance here is 12 miles. Nice video though.

  • i saw this ..it was awesome

  • I live in Australia and have always wanted to see a shuttle launch, I GOTTA come to your place, a launch and a party, it owuld be awesome!!! You are so lucky to live where you do!!!

  • Thanks! It really is awesome to have all these things at your fingertips, but I've always wanted to see Australia too!

  • @deinemuse Hi, could you please say what road, park, etc you went to in Titusville to see this launch? Was it Rt#1 I'm about to buy costly tickets for the Feb 24, 2011 launch of Discovery and see it from NASA's visitor center. But from YouTube videos of prior launches from the visitor center its mostly blocked by trees. Your clear view of the pad across the Indian River looks great.

  • @henrynevins It was at Paul's Smokehouse! It is probably the second best place to see the launch, but get there early and bring chairs/blankets. You can park right across the street. for free too. Good luck and enjoy. We were going to to the next launch, but it kept being postponed.

  • @deinemuse Thanks much for your reply and info, Paul's Smokehouse is were my family and I will then be on Feb 24th. The view in your video is excellent, I couldn't ask for more. From the NASA visitor center videos the view absolutely stinks, plus costs big bucks. They've sold out months ago, but on ebay a NASA Causeway ticket is selling for $1,000ea and Visitor Ctr at $330 for two. I would have wasted money, plus no view. Thanks again.

  • @deinemuse Hi, Just back from my Fla trip and saw the Feb 24 launch from Paul's Smokehouse. Did turn out as the best place to be. We sat on the lawn, on the shore's edge plus had the benefit of Paul's restaurant throughout the day. Got there at 10:30AM, after that the parking lot was full. Paul's charged $10 to park, but it was a bargin. Glad I wasn't one of those poor souls parked along the road edge sitting among the weeds, bugs and ants. Getting out of Titusville however 3hrs was a nightmare

  • @deinemuse glad it worked out for you. And yeah leaving is insane! Sometimes we wait for the rush to go first.

  • @henrynevins Yeah but you're 2 miles closer. I'm oing to be there for that one. I had a chance to get VIP tix and i didn't, but I will for the next one.

  • Nice job! I was on that pier near McDonalds taping too. Great launch!

  • Yeah, I was there for a bit but ended up viewing the launch from behind the McDonalds

  • Hey, I think I saw you.

  • Paul's smokehouse?
