3D helicopters allow you to reverse the pitch of the rotor blades when you flip, so they are actually blowing air down (or up from their perspective) to hold the heli off the ground while upside down.

Is that a trex 450? I'm looking at getting a blade 400. I know flying is a constant learning experiance but how long did it take you to get good on the controls and doing some 3D flying?

yes it's a T-REX 450. And you can plan on spending somewhere between 6-12 months practicing every day if you want to get good at 3D flying. It is NOT easy. lol.

I had to wade in and find it. The pond is about chest deep and it has about 2 feet of mud on the bottom. I had to walk back and forth across the pond until I felt it with my feet. As you can imagine my clothes were a mess. lol. But I got him back. :))

Thanks! Sony vegas seems to be the best one out for that price range. It's not as hard as it looks, just play around with it. There are also tons of tutorials on youtube for it, just do a search. I think it works very well for what it costs! Good luck.

rofl. It wasn't that deep.. only about 5 feet deep where it went down. My neighbors stood on the shore and laughed at me while I was heli - dipping. :) If I had thought of it, I would have had them film me getting soaked trying to find it.

nice! Yeah samsung makes great monitors and TV's. The TV in the video is a 52 inch LCD with the new 1080p 120 mhz refresh rate from Samsung. I love it. :)

Me too! I think what saved all the electronics is that the ESC cut out in the air.. that's why it fell. That cut off all power to all the electronics, so by the time it hit the water, there was no power going to the RX, gyro, or servos. So the water didn't hurt them because they weren't turned on. Like everybody is saying... I got lucky. :)

Yes, I agree. Very lucky. My guess is that the ESC died 1st which cut off all power to everything else while it was still in the air. So by the time it hit the water, none of the electronics were turned on so the water didn't hurt them.
