@starraptor9 Besides a few visual things, not really no. After I get done with my 55' I might build a 454 for this and change out the driveline, but I've really got an itch to build a 37' Plymouth. It all comes down to time and money!
@TheEnragedHawk thats all true well good luck with that right now me and my father are working on a third generation gta (1991) we put headers, a magnaflow exhaust, a k&n airfilter, a vigilante torque converter (Precision Industries, a super chip, duel cats, and we adjusted the base timing from 4 degrees to 10 degrees.
If you do by any chance, change your mind and paint the car flat black with gloss stripes, you'd have to upload a video! As you mentioned above the paint is in good condition. So in the mean time, I'd keep it silver.
I'd love to paint mine like the 1999 30th Anniversary Edition. Although I would hate to explain to people it's just a paint job, and not actually a 30th Anniversary Firebird. Then go through the trouble of buying a Ram Air hood, which are pricey.
@EdEddnEddy4 Yeah, I'm having a problem replying too. I had to use @ to reply.
Thanks for the complements! If you do stripes, I highly don't recommend vinyl ones like I used. The sun has really messed mine up over the years; paint is definitely the way to go. The black with red would look sweet! I have thought about repainting my car, but I hate to do it since the paint is still in good shape overall. I considered doing all flat black with high gloss black stripes like I have now.
I can't reply back to your posted comment, but nice 55!
I really fell for those stripes. I think I might do it to mine. Mine is silver just like yours... although I feel as if I'm gonna pay for a paint job, I'd go all out. Probably gloss black with red stripes and trim. Same dark limo tint as yours. Your car looks great the way it is.
@EdEddnEddy4 It's not really that I hate the V6 itself. For the time, it was a great engine and had a decent amount of power; I just can't stand the way it sounds. I know the valance you're talking about, and I like it a lot, but I can't justify the money on it right now. My 55 is nickel and diming me right now, so and spare cash I have generally goes into it. But yes, I think it would look sweet on the front!
Why do you hate the V6? If you don't want a fast Firebird, that's still a great option. The 3800 Series II Buick V6 is a fantastic motor. It was officially ended in 2009 even though it's deadline was 2002.
Oh, and with those stripes, you should check out Wings West's front valance. That will make the front look meaner.
im guessing your customized it
