This video scares me abit. Even though I speak Mandarin myself.
I know Taiwanese and Cantonese couldn't differentiate them clearly. Eventually you will learn it by words.

They are very similar and the difference is very slight. Correct me if i'm wrong but I think it's like this:
Z= ds, as in hands
C= ts, as in mits
S= s, as in see

OMG.. THIS IS what I've been stuck on, being slightly hearing impaired. DS TS an S is so easy now that I know and listen more carefully! Thanks for the heads up. You saved me weeks of incorrect pronounciation and annunciation! xie xie

joyful, i think you misunderstood. The chinese word for eating sounds like "ci". thats why i put the picture there.
