Now they are all in We Are The Fallen and their music is superb while Evanescence is new-album-less.

Ben needed to leave. It was better for the band. Evanescence wouldn't have last with Ben and Amy working together. Terry is a great guitarist anyways. Very different than Ben. Style and influences are different. Terry has more of a metal/numetal influences. Which I understand why some fans don't like the new style. but it still has mostly Amy's influence in it still. Evanescence will survive as long as Amy is motivated.

She improved SO much than previous shows ive went too and honestly the other ones were really good . Her voice is amazing and the only reason it sounds bad on youtube is because in most shows the drum and gutiar and bass and vice versa get their own micraphones therefor that all togather over powers her voice .
Ive always said that one shouldnt let personal views or tabloid of an artist get in the way of their music and enjoy their creation for what it is. But theres just something about Ben that rubs me the wrong way. I didnt like him from the start of Fallen and I'm not sure I want to hear any more of his music because of that. Honestly Ben is good with songs and doing many things in the music industry but doing that just for glory is messed up. Wow, that makes me sad. Amy Lee and Ben Moody used to be such good friends! I'd never heard this interview until today, and now I know whose side I'm on. AMY LEE'S! While We Are the Fallen does sort of have the old Evanescence sound to it, and I do listen to them on occassion, Evanescence will always be the best. No question about it.
All of the musicians that have been a part of Evanescence are incredibly talented, it's just sad to see people who were once close friends could be so bitter towards one another.

Amy herself admitted that Ben leaving was the best thing for the band. Ben had undiagnosed Bi-Polar disorder, and he and Amy were in a relationship, which was becoming increasingly dysfunctional, to the point where they were no longer on the same tour bus, and their relationship trouble was going to tear the band apart, so he left, it was the best thing for all of them.

Why do you think the music stayed the same just lost its edge when Moody left? Because LeCompt and Gray, while still being good musicians, couldn't hold Evanescence up while Amy Lee was busy show boating. Now they are all in We Are The Fallen and their music is superb while Evanescence is new-album-less.

Ben needed to leave. It was better for the band. Evanescence wouldn't have last with Ben and Amy working together. Terry is a great guitarist anyways. Very different than Ben. Style and influences are different. Terry has more of a metal/numetal influences. Which I understand why some fans don't like the new style. but it still has mostly Amy's influence in it still. Evanescence will survive as long as Amy is motivated.

Ive always said that one shouldnt let personal views or tabloid of an artist get in the way of their music and enjoy their creation for what it is. But theres just something about Ben that rubs me the wrong way. I didnt like him from the start of Fallen and I'm not sure I want to hear any more of his music because of that. While We Are the Fallen does sort of have the old Evanescence sound to it, and I do listen to them on occassion, Evanescence will always be the best. No question about it.

Amy herself admitted that Ben leaving was the best thing for the band. Ben had undiagnosed Bi-Polar disorder, and he and Amy were in a relationship, which was becoming increasingly dysfunctional, to the point where they were no longer on the same tour bus, and their relationship trouble was going to tear the band apart, so he left, it was the best thing for all of them.

But their cd sucks I am very dissapointed and their numbers are falling fast. Carly's voice and lyrics are nowhere near Amy. Ben would have done better trying to get celine dion, kelly clarkson or avril lavigne in his new band.

@hallow I like to think they're all egocentric assholes, Amy included. Rock and roll isn't about being mature, as the beatles and Led Zep have proven. Ultimately, I miss the good songs Moody and Amy produced. All ego aside they made great songs. After he left Eva became a ballad band, which was nice for two songs, but the entire album was filled with it.
WATF has the sound of old school Eva, so if you don't like them you're just a hypocrite.

@hallow ok first, you need to relax and understand that you aren't in the band so you need to stop blindly defending them as if they pay your rent. Secondly, the open door was a strong ballad album, yes you can pick a few hard tempo songs but the ballads outweigh the hard rock. As I said, people can like it, but it wasn't the Eva we were introduced to in Fallen.
Fakes, and Pansies is what the rock business is all about, show me a strong and noble band that hasn't replaced one member...I'll wait
