I'm an American citizen, born & raised. My mothers side of the family is in France. Several years ago i was in a car crash there, head on. I was in the hospital for 6 weeks, 3 of which were in intensive care. The doctors & nurses were amazing, they even sent a psychiatrist to see me 3 times a week! I was never charged a cent! Had this happened in the US, i would be financially screwed for life, maybe ended up homeless.

France's healthcare is number one in WHO rankings, and their voter turn out is 85%. Selonge Royal has 4 kids and is not married. Nicholas Sarkozy and Mme Sarkozy live apart. Their poverty rate is the lowest, they have the TGV train, their independant of mideast oil and they are not fat. What he said is true. Every man is entitled to his own opinion but not his own fact. Also France didn't invade Iraq.

Interceptor..You are so right! I am from Holland and I know how well the French system works. You have to remember that Americans have been spoonfed with the notion that this is the greatest country in the world...NOT!

I've never been to France, I know jackshit about France, but I'm American, so I obviously know more about France than you. I'm gonna have to say everything Maher said is completely untrue and all you eat is fries and toast.

The vast majority is true actually MC......Living in Paris, but being a British native, the only contradiction to what he said would be France being green. Germany is by far greener than France, and all four corners of the globe should adopt the German green methods. But apart from that, yeah, France isn't all bad!
