  • JDM tail light mod FTW!!

  • TORQUE bias != Speed bias.

There's a HUGE difference. Just because wheels are spinning doesn't mean there's significant torque being applied to them.

In the vid the center diff is probably set to full soft so that the clutch doesn't equal out the f/r speed bias.

  • DCCD fully locked is best for drifting...all tires spin at the exact same time, slips out nicely

  • Dccd, 90% rear 10% front.

  • this is not an original subaru, were is the 4x4 and nice raw power? check out prodrive and try out the same thing with that car :p. But im sure it was fun while it lasted :p

  • @sappiou Since this is my car in the video, I can assure you that it is a real subaru, Where this was done was a wet lake bed. The mud is as slick as ice.

  • @TheCarAudioShop it is a nice car and you are right, But i have a friend who has the STI UK 400 and its a lot different thats why i said that.

  • wow........in the mud??....seriously??

  • @devin844 Yep

  • This was the end of the session, just screwing around.

  • deff. would have had more fun if he was in full lock...

  • Now that looks like fun

  • why not 4x4

  • haha i see he deffinatly has it set to full rear

  • change your dccd lol

  • @nathan: It's an STi & he set the DCCD to full rear.

  • @Atheomerase You cannot set the dccd to full rear, something is slipping there. The max you can go to on the rear (lowest setting) is 90 which leaves 10% left in the front... Part of the video showed the car staying still, front wheels not even moving one bit. starting from lock and down goes from (front/rear) 50/50 40/60 30/70 20/80 10/90

  • @alabaska182 gotta remember man, although your information is correct. 10% might just not be enough power to spin the wheel with the weight of the car.

  • @TheVertro It shouldn't matter, a diff should never slip if it has any sort of power to the wheels.

  • @alabaska182 yeah now that i think about it a little more your correct. sorry it was early. wasnt thinking clearly, lol.

  • @alabaska182 The 05 STi has a different diff setup than the later years. Here is a video for your reference. watch?v=uLnad5OzlzU The bias was changed for the 06+ years. This is my car in the video and I can assure you that there was nothing wrong with my diff. It is still holding strong to this day.

  • @TheCarAudioShop I know the 05 is different than the new ones I own a 2004 sti which is the same setup as an 05. You just might have to change your LSD soon since it's slipping more than it should, but again, you don't have to unless you like going on race tracks, I'm picky I like my sti running perfect for the track. You'll be fine.

  • @alabaska182 Sorry, but there is nothing wrong with it slipping a lil bit when its on 10/90 it was designed that way. Every 04/05 is able to do this. This was done with 30k on the odo and I now have 80k. Its nothing about being picky. Im sure that if you where to put your DCCD all the way rear and go slide on some ice, or anything with no traction, your car will do the same exact thing.

  • why are only your back wheels spinning? those are awd

  • Jean lake bed

  • Was that in Henderson?
