  • Sorry for the second comment did not see the firs response. Love this boat , I have a hull with no engines. Would love to go diesel butt seem to expensive for me. Thinking about a Armstrong Outboard Brackets with used outboard or maybe a pair of petrol Mercruiser 3.0. Love to go mahi-mahi fishing and would love them diesels to fish all day long. Fuel getting to expensive. How much $ was the re-power? Had a quote with twin Yanmar looking at 40K+. Got any more videos? Thanks and Have a nice day

  • Hi.... as in my latest comment they are twin Volvo Penta D3, 160 hp. outdrive engines.

    Diesels...

    Have a nice day ....

  • Engines ?

  • Hi there... thanks for the comments..

The boat is a 1965 Bertram Sportfisher. I live in Denmark but bought the boat in U.S. with two dead engines (thanks Ebay).

Took her home to Denmark and repowered her with twin Volvo Penta

D3/160 hp diesels. They are tight fit - but a perfect power option.

Top speed with the right props is 35 knots..

  • engines ? nice boat ..... top speed ?

  • true aii.. i love them california sportfishers.. i own a mariner 34ft flybridge.. nice boats. and i love the bertrams!

  • Gotta love the Bertram! I own a '67 California '28 sportfisher and everyone always mistakes it for a Bertram. Hard to beat. Saw tons of them in Cabo.
