You actually don't know how to use the shotgun in COD. Most of those kills could have been easily had by knifing. You hurt your team and your own chances by playing like this. Only a few of these kills made proper use of the shotgun.

The DBS is epic with Slight of Hand and Extreme Conditioning.

Although I don't get why people use the Sawoff, the gun its normally a OSK anyways.

It's absolutely a beast though, I think it's better than the trench gun.

Having it sawn off is an attachment, like a red dot sight. Just select the double barrel shotgun, and under attachments, you will see "sawn off" Just do not select that. Instead, just click on "no attachment."

It is not in split screen, however, if you do the first zombie map, "Nachet Der Untoten" there is a double barrel you can purchase off the wall on the second floor and that is sawn off.

the double barreled shotgun has alot of power but its kinda bad with accuracy and reloading thats why i put sacthel's sleight of hand and etiher second chance or martyhdom

Same here. I can usually get a one hit kill at a pretty good distance with the double barrel. However, with the trench gun, I find it hard to get a one hit kill, unless you are knifing distance from the enemy.

Guys really underestimate the range of the trench shotgun.There always saying "hes was to far away from me hes modding blah blah blah".Point is just master the stalk with the pump and it will serve you right.Definitely my favorite gun.

I tried that. Trench needs stopping power because if you are more than 3 feet away from an enemy, you need to hit them twice, but only once if you have stopping power.

use deep impact, i've gotten a lot of kills on hardcore through walls using the trench gun (good for when they go into last stand)

I think for your trenchy you ought to use grip because you have the bayonet.. but whats the need? you never use it and if your close enough there's like a 99% chance the shotty will be a 1 shot kill anyways... i'd use trenchgun - magnum - grip - camo - dead silence/martydom/extreme conditioning.

I never understand the grip on a shotgun. It is a one hit kill most of the time, so why worry about the grip? Also, it takes up a whole perk slot. The grip is handy on machine guns to steady long distance shots, but on a shotgun, I do not see the point. Oh, I never use the bayonet on a shotgun, but it is better than the grip, and way cooler looking than no attachment.

For shotguns I use:

1. Bomb Squad (you do a lot of running around.)

2. Stopping Power (for trench) , OR Juggernaught (for double barrel)

3. Extreme Conditioning (Like I said, you do a lot of running around. You need to get close to your enemies......fast.)

I like to play solo. In a group, I never did what I wanted, and I always played at the most inconvenient times, because that was when everyone else could play. I was never in control, and never had time for anything else. Things got stressful, and gaming was not fun anymore. So, I left my group, and I have no intention of returning to that anymore. Ohhhhhhhhh ok. You mean my first kill? It looks like a bayoneted him, but I really just shot him. I had the bayonet on, and after the kill, I reloaded, and if gave the impression that I used the bayonet. I did not. However, if you do bayonet someone, it will show the picture of the gun. I do not know why.  Maybe because you kind of used that gun to kill the guy.

I use slight of hand whenever I have a shotgun on Nazi Zombies. I do not use it on multiplayer because, in my opinion, extreme conditioning is better, and the shotgun has enough shots to bring any enemy down, so you do not have to reload much. However, I see where it would come in handy.

With the shotguns, I did not think the fireworks perk helped. The fireworks perk improves explosive weapon damage like C4, frag grenades..... that sort of thing. However, that is a good question, because I am not sure if a shotgun qualifies as an "explosive weapon."  I never use the fireworks perk. The long range comes from the double barrel with stopping power. If you saw it off, the range is gone. I recommend leaving the barrel just how it is becasue it gives you a lot more range.
