Christ has come into my heart yesterday on March 4 2012 i went to the altar people this is so awesome to have him in our hearts. We are referred to lambs in the bible because lambs are stupid. Lambs will let wolves kill them. It's just like we are the lamb and the demons/devil is killing us.
Jesus Christ is the embodiment of the Word of God which has been speaking to the world since the very beginning. The Word of God speaks to ALL people, but most do not listen. There is no shades of grey. You either follow Him or you do not. The Father, the Maker of us all, speaks to the heart and it is there that we choose good or evil. Choosing good follows the Will of God while choosing evil does not. If we do not follow that still small voice that says to do the right thing then we are lost.
No. there is some major problems with your theology. Yes there are contradictions in the Bible, simply because it is NOT error free, and the ONLY way to detect them is through the guiding Holy Spirit. Jesus makes it point clear that there is none good, not one, even our righteous deeds are but filthy rags. And he also said he has come to fulfill the law of God, and whosoever believes in him is counted as righteous before God. Abraham was counted as righteous for believing the Lord, and so it is
@thepromiseof316 Abraham was counted righteous for obeying God even unto sacrificing His own son. We must obey God. It goes beyond just believing. Even the demons believe in Him because He is real.
1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1Pe 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
1Pe 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
A person who has NOT heard about Jesus Christ, but is a good person they will go to heaven, because we have an intelligent God, and not as you are trying to insinuate!
But a person that knows about Jesus yet deny's Jesus will NOT according to scripture enter heaven.
A person who is told about Jesus Christ and deny's Him will not enter heaven even if what they do is good.... we do NOT go to heaven by our good works.
If a person that is good but does NOT know about Jesus Christ will do to heaven, because we have an intelligent God and NOT as you are trying to insinuate!
Understand this.. EVERYONE (besides a specific small amount of prophets perhaps...) was going to Hell, they weren't worthy because they were INSANELY sinful! God sent Jesus to Earth to die and allow us all to be able to go to Heaven!! :D Now we have the chance to go! Although we don't AT ALL deserve it, none of us do...
John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVETH in him should not perish, but have everasting life."
Isaiah 64:6 - "All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away"... Our acts cannot get us into heaven no matter how "good" we are. If we don't accept Jesus we cannot get into Heaven... Acts 4:12 - "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
ALL OF HUMANITY IS GUILTY OF SIN and therefore we must accept the sacrifice that Jesus paid for us in order to go to Heaven... Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" He died in order to pay the wages of sin, which is death, in order to give us eternal life.
No where in The Bible does it say that good works get you into heaven, but your video claims otherwise. You are disputing nothing and making no valid arguments. You're video says that "this statement is APPARENTLY contradicted in The Bible." apparently? Please give me verses that contradict that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. You say in your video that most evangelicals believe in Jesus, but in your comment, you say most don't. Which is it? Either you believe or not.
Unfortunately, I agree with you that many people who claim to be Christians will receive that fate. In the Bible, it speaks of this and it will be so.
Although I am not positive where the dead remained before Jesus, but the Bible tells us that He will come again to judge the living and the dead. Those who have not heard of Jesus will be judged on their faith and works. Please read the bible and learn about Jesus. You can't get the whole picture just by reading random verses.
@812LJ I'm tempted to think that you are a nut job. Mat. 17:1-13 is about the trans figuration and whether John the Baptist was the "Elijah" that was to come before the Christ.
@yeshua4U - You are incorrect... The transfiguration was indeed about the NEW COVENANT unto Jesus Christ. Notice, that Moses & Elijah were also present symbolizing Jesus' fulfillment of both the Mosaic Law & the writings of the Prophets. For reference, read Jesus' words in Mathhew 5:17... In response to your inaccuracy about John the Baptist, you can find the answer and see the truth by reading Malachi 3:1 & Matthew 11:2-10...
@812LJ Mat 17:11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
Mat 17:12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
Mat 17:13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
@yeshua4U - In Matthew 17:10-13, Jesus clarifies the misconception of the scribes insistence that Elijah must precede the Messiah. This, of course had nothing to do with the purpose or meaning of the transfiguration; except for the continued fulfillment of prophecy as found in Malachi 3:1 & 4:5...
Mal 3:1 Behold, I send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant, whom ye desire, behold, he cometh, saith Jehovah of hosts.
Mal 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of Jehovah come.
Do you think that Mat.17:12 was NOT speaking of John the Baptizer?
Which verses are you getting this idea from that as long as You do good things, you will enter into the kingdom of heaven? No, you are wrong about Matthew 7: 21-23. Jesus says, many will call his name and say they did these good things and He will reply, "I never knew you". This clearly shows that there needs to be a personal relationship with Christ and that all you bring to him is filthy rags. If Jesus is not your Lord, He is not your savior. Don't claim to be Christian if you don't believe.
Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
@PeterThenn How about you Peter, Is Jesus Your Lord and Saviour? Because you have heard of the finished work of Christ on the cross. Therefore you have a choice, Yes or No. It was the Fathers WILL that Christ Paid the price for our sins, not that He set principles for us to live by.Because ,as you and I both know, there are many non believers that live very moral lives.but of course can't be saved.
@PeterThenn Hi, I don't know how much you have looked into the Old, New Testament. For thousands of years it was considered that there was no " Cleansing of Sins"etc without the shedding of blood.Normally the best sheep or goat would be given.
However, enter the New Testament, some 600yrs later, God sacrificed His Son Jesus, to be the "Last Blood Sacrifice" on the cross.
What would we, or mankind think if it was any other person(s) or son given, also he was" A sinless Sacrifice".
@PeterThenn Sorry Peter, I will answer it now! As A Christian, it reinforces to me the love God had for the world/mankind that he surrendered his Son. The very fact that God is Supreme, is the very reason that nothing, or no one, but Christ would suffice!
That is why Jesus had to be born of a virgin' because the sin virus is carried by man, not the woman. Making Christ the sinless sacrifice.
One reason miricles were done, was to show man that Jesus was not just an ordinary man etc.
@PeterThenn AFRAID NOT! All sin is sin. That is why you guys are totally confused. That is what satan is called The author of Confusion!
So of course his children will be.Of course he chose to sacrifice his Son, I thought I explained why.
Jesus was the Only, once and for all Blood sacrifice for the sins of Mankind, nothing else could substitute. If one needs fuel, you go to a garage yeh? Well if you are serious about God/Christ, and don't study his word you will never understand Truth.
@PeterThenn Peter,To answer your question on 'Your God is not a Supreme Being' can I ask you, have you a bible? ( hope this is not an embarrissing question?) Please don;t give me an embarrassing answer. The reason being if you have one it will save me lots of typing.
Good to hear you know Jesus, but do you know 'About Jesus'. To answer your question
you know Christ comes from Jesus Christ, In scripture He is known as:- "Jesus THE Christ". Christ meaning "Messiah" or 'Chosen One" ok?
@PeterThenn Hey, You asked me, who Christ was, If you prefer this zeus, fine.
So you admit there is a heaven, you know there is a hell (reserved for satan and his cohorts).
The God of the Bible is blasphemed, cursed, rebuked, and hated, more than any other, why? Because your god satan, knows that my God is indeed the "Way theTruth and the Life" all others are doing the devils will drawing people into hell.
James ch2 v19 Satan believes there is one God and "SHUDDERS".
But to believe in Jesus is to believe in his teachings. Those who have not had the chance to hear of Jesus in their life time and still live according to the teachings of Jesus (a good and moral life) will go to heaven. But to live a life based on Jesus' teachings without hearing about them is extremely rare.... extremely rare.... humans are evil and selfish amongst other things, and generally without guidance we will nearly always choose to do the wrong thing. And game theory proves why.
@PeterThenn Which religons might they be? Jesus introduced many things into this world, such as an eye for an eye is not the right thing to do, equality for women! 1 husband for 1 wife, visa versa. In those times when they heard these teachings, they set out to kill him because everything he taught was the complete opposite of what people did. And he was crucified! Now in my opinion, I find that someone who doesnt believe that Jesus is the son of God will not follow his teachings properly.
@PeterThenn And Jesus Is one with God himself explaining to us how we can enter heaven. These teachings were not combined because Jesus did not read about hinduism, taoism or zoroastrianism. Everything he taught was from the heart and mind, he did not get them from any other religons or people. And for you to say they were combined suggests that you believe what he taught to us is the way.
@PeterThenn they were not known about in that part of the world. and yes he could, but it is only stated in historical papers that he read what was in the old testament. He started reading the old testament since he was a child. but yes he could have read about those religons, but he didnt as far as we are aware.
Matthew 25:31-46 says it all. The difference between the Righteous and Unrighteous in this scripture is found in the phrase "I never knew you". Please read this and pray that God's truth will soften your heart.
Rick, are there good people? there are those who try to live righteously but anyway there are NO sinless people. even the best human being (according to our human standards) commit sins. sin leads to death. everyone needs Christ. if people do good it's better to do it out of love to God but not out of fear of hell. i do not deserve Heaven. i need His mercy.
I feel EXACTLY the same way. I tried arguing this point with my father, but got nowhere, because people are going to believe what they want to believe. But this is the way I've ALWAYS felt, even before I was Pagan. I appreciate you taking the time to make this and to share it with me...thank you so, so much.

If God is the Supreme Being, Jesus' Death is meaningless.
For if God so truly loved the world,
then all He would have to do is Will it
and all Mankind would be saved.
As the Supreme Being,
God would make the Rules
but He would not have to obey them.
Miracles are proof that God does not have to obey his own rules.

@goldstead
But there ARE intellegent people who believe in these things.
I would have given you more credit for intelligence
if you had said SANE instead of INTELLIGENT.

Matthew 25:31-46 says it all. The difference between the Righteous and Unrighteous in this scripture is found in the phrase "I never knew you". Please read this and pray that God's truth will soften your heart.

You assume that I am Unrighteous and have a hard Heart just because I am not a Christian.

The Bible and the Qu'ran both state that you should not judge the Unbelievers.
Yet both Muslim and Christian Fundamentalists want to convert everyone.
The whole message of this video is along the lines of
'Remove the Plank from your own Eye,
before you point out the Splinter
in Another's Eye'

It's not in the believing but the doing. Some by nature would walk christs walk, being also the children of God.

I feel EXACTLY the same way. I tried arguing this point with my father, but got nowhere, because people are going to believe what they want to believe. But this is the way I've ALWAYS felt, even before I was Pagan. I appreciate you taking the time to make this and to share it with me...thank you so, so much.

I actually uploaded this before I saw your video, but then I have this knack for doing things before I need them. :)
