@SuperPokemonfans hum, actually, yes. samurais didnt just randomly slash around with their blades...they knew how to time their slashes and didnt just try to beat the heck out of the enemy by just hitting it as often as possible without thinking (which many ls users seem to do :P)

No modding or cheating. In MH1 there were no longswords. That's why Eager Cleaver is used as a GS.

as for the online players, they can have lagicrus armour and still suck ass, thats saying something.

@souldude151 Do you think so? I am playing MHTri and i see that the rathian hasnt changed much, they still being an easy prey. Rathalos is another thing, he is much harder than the other games.

rathian got new attacks and attack styles making it harder to predict.

rathalos just got the ability to fly low and attack you which is rather pointless until it jumps back with a fireball in your face. But then again everything on tri does that.

In MH1 it was normal... since longsword didn't exist yet...

Actually the proper way to use such a sword (in ancient Japan it existed a weapon similar to these huge katanas) was much more similar to the greatsword style than the longsword... But, anyway, they first introduced longswords in MH2, so... There's nothing wrong with it.

@Charm999methods It's similar to headlocking, but while headlocking is actually to keep the monster still until his death, reaching his stagger limit each time, hooking is just a few hits that stagger the monster for a certain time, not the entire battle. This was a word used often in MH1 Online, while now is not very well known...

ahh. wtg on the narga. i dont know how to play frontier in america, but i was told its possible. when you get a psp. i deffinately recommend getting mhfu but mhfreedom as well. the original mhfreedom was just like the mh1. i still go back and play that cuz i dont feel like hooking up my ps2 again. stupid no ps2/ps1 playing ps3....

so yeah, deffinately get mhfu and mhf. mhf2 is exactly like mhfu except mhfu has more missons.

But I didn't use GreatSword charge, since in MH1 for PS2 there wasn't any GS charge move, and this is not a Tigarex, and this is not Diablos King Blade. Just another thing... did you see WHEN this video was uploaded? 26th August 2007, which is over TWO YEARS AGO. At that time almost no one did such things. And I remember you that this video was intended to be funny, cos when I uploaded this video there wasn't anything like this on Youtube. So, if you don't like it, don't watch it.

Well you could of ust told me all this in the 1st comment. I was asking somebody to explain. I never knew you couldn't charge with a GS, I didn't know people didn't do things at that time. I just started playing MHF2 the transfered to MHFU.

I've never put more hours into a videogame than I did playing Monster Hunter (PS2) online. Seeing a lot of these ignorant comments from those who have only heard of the fun but in my opinion inferior PSP ports makes me sad. The original game deserves better than this. Watching this video reminded me of the laughs I used to have while playing. Rest in peace Monster Hunter servers.

But that's cause I saw this video on youtube, for MH where theres a glitch that you can make weapons turn into different weapons without losing it's form. So you could use a Lance for example, but it would really be a LS.
