  • Meeting of Styles Project Question #1:

Why use Stock/Factory caps?! I use Stock-Caps because they provide the challenge that all writers once faced. When I chose to continue to use Stock- Caps, I knew that it would help me continue evolving as an artist. I still trick them out like we did in the old days, but that’s part of the fun of it. I can’t use neat caps, especially thin caps, because for an old-schooler like me, it’s far too much like glorified airbrushing.

    On Stock-Caps 2:

If I started using "Fancy" caps, I feel I'd loose that traditional graffiti edge. It’s kind of like having an old lumberjack trade in his ax for a chainsaw, or a like a chef trading in his pans for a microwave. When it comes to graffiti, sometimes sticking to the old ways is better, less you risk watering down the true essence of what graffiti art really is. –Dark Riddle. BTB Cult.

Graffiti Art at Comicon?! It sounds silly, doesn’t it? I once thought that, too. But there’s a big connection between comics and graffiti art, so why not have it recognized at Comicon? Movies & Video games regularly advertise at Comicon for the great exposure, so I thought that adding a montage bit about the Meeting of Styles there would be a great place to start representing street-level graffiti to ordinary visiting viewers.
