  • what a fantastic american singer forever and ever!!

  • oh great master would you teach me to sing like this

  • Ohhh,...to hear this played on a Hammond B-3 with slow Leslie on the verses and fast tremolo on the choruses would sound wonderful. Not discrediting George at all on this song,...he does it well. But to hear it played as an instrumental piece on a Hammond, again, would sound wonderful!

  • I have always loved to hear George Jones sing "I Always Get Lucky With You"

  • I hate comments about someone's looks but since this features a slideshow of George over a period of time, I'm going to make such a comment. To me, George has gotten better looking with time - maybe it's the white hair. And, of course, he still has that wonderful voice!!!

  • @CATniteOwl george is like wine...he gets better with age.

  • Amazing Song!

  • This is the song that brought me around to Country Music after being immersed in Rock during the late 60's and all of the 70's. I happened to hear this on a Pop station, and it really turned me on to what Country Music had to offer. There is something about George's voice that reaches parts of my soul that others couldn't. God Bless George Jones.

  • the Possum hit #1 in Billboard, 7-30-83. God bless!

  • @DaveWollenberg wow thanks for th info

  • @elvispresley718 You're welcome. Have a blessed weekend!

  • Let's hear a big hand for Freddy Powers, who wrote this great song.

  • @Mintzcondition *crickets chirping*

  • @Mintzcondition amen what a tearjerker!

  • This man is one of the greatest singers of all time. His vocal tone, phrasing, and interpretation are impeccable and unparalled in all of country music!

  • @arpeggio1358 they dont cover him in the public schools or merle either!!! why is that my friend?

  • @elvispresley718 Not fair! George really is, as I said before, one of the greatest singers of the 20th Century, in any singing category. Sinatra was called the king of phrasing? Sinatra couldn't hold a candle to George in that area. Merle Haggard is another one of the greats.

  • @arpeggio1358 cant you say anymore about the man? lol

  • @arpeggio1358 wow youre singing my song

  • Great song

  • Stnning thats all I can say, wow

  • @kclair8 "Stnning" (sic) if that's all you can say, you should shut up.

  • @kclair8 you can just hear it in his voice eternity

  • It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy in my no no spots
