  • jeeez Im hungry!!

  • this filipino food tour guide has a chinese accent

  • @AnonHateMachine because that tour guide is not even a filipino his a pure blooded chinese... he doesn't even know how to cook adobo for god sake!... the basic adobo is made from soy sauce, vinegar and garlic and you can put any kinds of meat and fish in there..

  • as a chinese person i made the mistake of feeding american house guests bitter gourd.......... fail

  • @kaindrg haha, delicious but definitely an acquired taste.

  • @kumquatsta strangely the flav llingers on your tougne like pepper spice does

  • @kumquatsta Agreed. Quite tasty. Also, thanks to this episode, I learned to make adobo! :)

  • @kaindrg im filipino and i hate that thing.

  • @manutdr8 yea so do most taiwanese and chinese people but i motivate my self to finish it cuz of its super food properties its also a staple of okinawa japan when it was still culturaly bound to china. Their consumption of the gourd contributes to their high rate of ppl living over 100

  • @kaindrg Yeah i heard about the medicinal properties. I just dont know how to mask the bitter taste. ANY SUGGESTIONS :D?!

  • @manutdr8 actaully the trick is to blanch it in soy sauce and creat a stew pork and beef. basicly the flavor will have to compete agianst pork and soy sauce that should do it be sure to eat it with lots of bread or rice since it gonna be salty. and alot of the nutrients will also end up in the soy sauce run off
