  • good review...very thorough...thanks! Still wear it?

  • hahaha Dont say Long Jeans anymore.

    Lawn- jeen

  • I've chose against Aqua racer blue...This is much more elegant and ray dial seems deeper, changing the color according to the light conditions..

  • How Heavy this watch???? I can't understand from the vid...

Once I wore this modell, and it was ridiculously light

  • great review, I need to ask this ( probably you heard this question before ) :

if you compre this watch to tag heuer aquaracer, which one will be your choice and why ? :)

    thanks

  • look like Casio Diver ?... Nop ! It's totally different - bazel, hands, dial, solid bracelet, finishing.....

  • It's look like Casio 50$ diver

  • @aisdnr57 If the Casio gives you the same vibe/satisfaction as this watch you should get it, you'd save $900.00!

But one day when you run into one of these face to face, and see the quality difference.......well your $50 Casio will feel like a $10 Casio and you'll jam your hand into your jeans so the guy wearing it won't see your $10 wannabe.

  • Wich one do you gyus prefer? The Longines HQ or the Christopher Ward C60 Trident? The CW is much cheaper.

  • @Supak90 The HQ is much nicer and is from an established Marque with a long history and that is much more prestigious....I like it's look better than an Omega Seamaster.......plus it will be easier to flip when you go after your grail!

  • I think its my computer that's making this video trip ass, but it seems like you took a whole lot of Red Bull cause everything is shaking. lol. Love Longines though.

  • there is a casio watch that looks exactly like this

  • Hi how are you?

I just bought a Longines GrandeVitesse

and Im not sure how to manually wound it

is it by turning the crown forward or backward?

I assume is forward but I want to make sure

    thank you sir, Kai

  • @kaidiau if it's a screw-down crown then unscrew it and wind it. if not then wind it (the direction that has most resistence).

    If that fails then RTFM

  • You ever check out DEEP BLUE with T100....the lume is awesome

  • @qurrer624

Yes - I was VERY close to buying one last month. I was going to get a Master 2000 - amazing value. I bought another TAG instead.

  • @simplyseven007 pls check it out the T100 tube are very very bright I have one on I love it I ordered the Black IP also

  • @simplyseven007 what tag?

  • @High99222 Carrera GMT

  • brought one a few weeks back. Great watch, look and feel

  • have been thinking about buying this watch and now am going to buy in blue! going on your comments sounds as though this watch is just as accurate as a £2000 chronometer. i come from uk so have used pounds!

  • Just got mine today!! I just love this watch, looks soo nice !!

  • simplyseven007 are you still happy with the watch? Looking to buy a new watch and really liked your review. Watch is in my price point. Any other suggestions?

  • nice watch, I also own a blue one.

I basically agree with you, but no automatic is that accurate as you describe it. espaecially as the longines has "only" a 2824-2 ETA. Even if it would have the top version of the 2824-2 it would still have a spread of +-5 sec a day

    cheers

  • Really....? A Casio?

  • Is it Longines and Omega are from the same company? How much you paid for this watch? Its about USD1170 here in Asia. Thanks!

  • I bought mine for a few hundred less from an authorized online retailer.... I can't remember which one though...

  • nice watch

  • no blue cos u buy an omega for a blue face!!!!!!

  • Actually, some might argue that you buy Tag for the blue face... I think the Aquaracer looks best in blue. The Bond Seamaster is alright... but I actually prefer the black Seamaster with the sword hands... Breitlingsource has a great review of one.

  • @simplyseven007 My mum bought this watch for my graduation present. Its still a nice watch. I agree with the blue bezel and face is much nicer, the black looks like an ordinary Black faced Rolex Submariner,

  • @simplyseven007 My mum bought this watch for my graduation present. Its still a nice watch. I agree with the blue bezel and face is much nicer, the black looks like an ordinary Black faced Rolex Submariner.

  • its lonzhheenz not log jeans

  • Hey, i just got my hydroconquest today. But i have a question, when I unscrew the crown and pull out the dial. There is alot of play in the dial. Is this normal? please let me know, otherwise, I need to go back to the shop.

    cheers

  • @sidewinder811

Actually, you might want to send it back. If you bought it from an authorized retailer, you could just send it in to have it adjusted under warranty. Otherwise, I would encourage you to return it. My Longines is very solid and tight with regard to crown and hand action when adjusting the time and date functions. I have have handled few watches with build quality that exceeds my Longines'; surprising considering the price point. GOOD LUCK!

  • Longines Hydroconquest L3.642.4.96.6 is automatic watch?

  • @julianfmw

Yes, mine is an auto. They also make a quartz version.

  • Nice review! I just bought the 39 mm model last week. I am having a hard time with the crown though. Other than that, this is a great watch.

  • buying one next week... hopefully my favorite watch shop can get me the blue one... looks great.

  • i have a question do the crown irritate the wrist when u are wearing the watch because i think it looks big

    thanx

  • wow man, is a very nice watch!!!!!!!

  • I just bought one today, from this review and the comments from other purchasers, I think I made a good choice.....

  • I got one as a present. :)

  • I have the same watch and I really like it from the beginning, but after a few months I discovered that the stainless steel scratch with almost everything. I got a lot of scratches especially on the logo area of the bracelet. Do you have the same problem? And do you know some good scratches remover or something?

  • Great review! I have the white dial version of this model, and the movement runs flawlessly (almost quartz like for a non chronometer automatic, about +5/-2 seconds/day) I agree that the crown is a little hard to operate. Othewise,I like this model over other divers in this price range, including the Tag Heuer Aquaracer 300m diver, which i recently sold.

  • great!!!

  • i bought this watch about 6 months ago:- absolutely adore it - its the most expensive i own, ive own a few watches, including a seiko skx009 (classic pepsi diver, low to mid price,) and a seiko kinetic ska371 - bit more pricey, but amazing weight & build quality, with the most gorgeous bezel of any watch i own, black face, and spectacular lume. the blue hydroconquest automatic is a classic watch though

  • i used to have this watch, unfortunately i sold it, now i really regret it, miss it a lot, the quality of the watch is superb, i have had a few omega's and i can safely say longines are at least on par with them in terms of quliaty of the watches contruction, the hydro conquest has a really nice look to it and i prefer it to the omega seamaster 300m, i would also say that in my opinion longines are better than brands such as oris and hamilton, you made a good choice! enjoy the watch!

  • but nice review though

  • long jeans?

  • my uncle gave me a Seiko submariner... is it a nice watch???

  • it is nice but try to get a swiss watch. you can feel the different.

  • i got 1

    my father bought for me

    black dial but quartz

    huhuhu

    i really like automatic

anyone want to change with automatic?

    heheheh

  • Dude! nice review:) But Lon-gi-nes :P

  • long jeans? lol

  • @playbak I thought exactly the same and laughed hard when I read your comment.

  • very well done review!

  • nice watch i was going to buy one but opted for the oris tt1 blue dial instead {the dial is less busy and easier to read}good review

  • I think you made the right choice. I sold my TT1 right before I purchased this watch and I really miss it. Their latest models are REALLY nice. The TT1 is more robust and is constructed more for function than design appeal. The TT1 and this watch are often compared because they are similar in price, quality, and function; in that order (IMO). I have had some QC issues with Oris, and I didn't like the polished lugs; but otherwise, the TT1 is one of the watch world's best kept secrets.

  • NIce review, thanks, better than Longines' catalogue - they'd sell more watches if they did this sort of thing.

  • Realy nice review and watch. But please next time show how watch fits on your wrist

  • nice!!!

  • Excellent review, please keep up the great work!!

  • i have this watch with the silver face, always gets compliments, simply oozez quality!

  • Nice wrap up, mate. Cheers

  • Thanks for the review

  • how much does on of those go for

  • You can find them online from $700 and up. Retail price is around $1,200.

  • What do you mean tapered?

  • Some watch bands are slightly wider at the lugs than they are at the clasp (e.g. Rolex Submariner). This is primarily done for comfort. However, tapering bands are more expensive to manufacture, and today's large, chunkier styles typically use non-tapering bands/straps.

  • i got the black one hahaha the blue one is to dull xexexe

  • I have a 47.5 mm hydro Conquest with the rubber strap, on the back of this watch i see the letters E F C, does any know these letters mean.

  • i'm pretty sure the E F stands for Ernest Francillon (longines founder) c might be company?

  • Good to know, thank you for the information.

  • Thank you for an excellent review.

  • I love the idea that it has elements of an IWC Ingenieur as I'd love to get my hands on one of those.

My collection is made up of Sinn, Omega, Tissot and now the Longines... But an IWC is my grail.......One day... one day:-):-)

  • Okay, well then stay tuned and I'll do a review of an IWC for my next review.

  • Nice.. I've just bought this exact model, second hand..

Love the classic look, and it should fit in nicely with my modest collection

  • Very cool. I'm sure you'll love it. It is inexpensive enough to wear in all conditions, and I find it has elements of Rolex/Tudor Subs, IWC Ingenieur, Orient Mako, and others. There are several elements to this watch to appreciate, so it's a hard watch to get sick of. I have since regulated it to run + 0.80 seconds/day. I will be posting a written review on the major watch forums which juxtaposes this piece with the Oris TT1, which will include pictures of the movements.

  • At first i was more classic watch tipe(I own a tissot le locle chronograph),but after seing this review I am definitely buing this one.exellent rewiev, thank you so much!!!

  • Very nice review of a great watch. I agree with you about the bezel, far to busy. I would still like to see more about the watch box. (I love watch boxes).

    Anyway, great review.

  • The watch box is awesome with this watch. It's nicer than boxes that come with watches costing 5-7 times more.

  • proud owner of the Longines Legend Diver ;)

  • I love that watch. Please post a review.

  • roger that ;) Will film it today but with my upload speed is gonna take a while before it's up on youtube... is it OK if i post it as a video response to your video mate? Just wondering :)

  • Cool, I'm sure it will be worth the wait. Definitely post it a as a video response here.

  • video is up mate ;) Might wanna check it out ;) Thx for talking me into making it in the first place :)

  • Nice pick up!

  • I got it, it's a very nice watch

  • Absolutely love this watch. I wonder how much you picked it up for?
