  • did you wash your hair before you retwisted it?

  • @AjaLocsItUp thank you that helped me alot

  • Go Check Out My Retwist Video !

  • How long was your hair when you locked up?

  • @NtrlBlackLezboBeauty 3 inches in the shortest areas, 6 inches in the longest..most of it was closer to 6 inches.

  • @AjaLocsItUp how long should you stay before getting them retwisted?

  • @juniwilliams That's totally up to you. When I was going to a loctician, I got them retwisted every 5-6 weeks (for financial reasons), but now that I do them myself, I do it once a week. Some people say not to do it that often, but I believe that as long as you're not twisting them too tightly, it's perfectly fine.

  • I REALLY appreciate what you said about people starting out with dreads. I've hade mine for a month, 2 months next week. && they arnt that short., im used to having long hair && sometimes my dreads make me feel like a boy. so its like i cant waite for them to get longer. i'm going to try to buy some scarves like you do. =)

  • @Chasmofmisery Get your hands out of your hair! lol..I give my hair non-physical affection. I send it positive thoughts and energy, but don't look at it or touch it too much. Our relationship is best that way. :-)

    Thanks for watching and commenting!!

  • You probably aren't experiencing budding just yet. Budding normally starts at least 2-3 months in, and its gonna look like a big knot towards the end of the loc. The portion of the loc that buds nomally doesnt uncoil or unravel from the loc; if anything it'll look as if the loc is clumping into the bud if that makes sense. But yours locs are comng along really well.

  • @misslocdnloaded Those parts of hair I was talking about weren't unraveled at all..it was just like the whole loc was smooth and then on those portions toward the middle and end, there were big clumps of matted like hair. It's kind of difficult to explain it what it looks like. It could also be due to the technique that the locticians at my salon use. They use a combination of backcombing and twisting that they say puts you about 4 months ahead of your journey.

  • @AjaLocsItUp Ok well yea then you are budding. I did my locs myself and started with the same method. I think I noticed budding at about two months, so it probably started at the 5-6 week mark. Out of curiosity, is it starting to bud all over, or just in the back?

  • @misslocdnloaded In the back and middle
