  • Im 13 and I LOVE Rosemary's songs !

  • @iLoveApplePiefully No one cares.

  • She was a wonderful woman.

  • super ale stare nagranie

  • Truly a woman of pure class.

  • The dress she's wearing is absolutely gorgeous!

  • Was in Maysville last week visiting relatives and was happy to see her face on the flood wall along the Ohio river :) Very few actresses/singers today can match her talent(in fact, Amy Adams is the only one I can think of right now).

  • One of my favorite singers, haha I agree with you anazmace, I was born in the wrong decade. Singers like rosemary clooney, dean Martin, frank Sinatra (exc.)have a true talent singers, singers now a days rely on electronics and voice editing. Women were classy back then, now women chew tobacco dress like guys and other gross stuff. If I we're old enough back then I sure would have married her ;) ahaha

  • TALK ABOUT MAKING A GUY MELT. If i was younger I would have stepped in Mr Ferrer's way and,,, Ah well , I'm dreaming. even when she was older and heavy --I know she had a very tough life--I would have been there. This is the classiest lady ever. Like the poster above, I was born in the wrong decade.

  • My God... that VOICE! Simply amazing.

  • Geez. Just look at the way she uses air. Amazing. What a singer.

Today so many so called vocal teachers / instructors just want you to sing along with a CD. Karaoke at $25 / 1/2 hour.

  • girls should do their hair like that nowadays

  • @se15code look man..or whatever ur :)

I do really think women used to be more freminine and womanly those days..though i am just of this generation

  • Both songs, I think, were released in 1952. I don't have my music reference books in front of me. I am at a computer at my local library where my e-mail account is set up. But I love all of this great old music, (40's, 50's, & 60's). I grew up during the lousy disco 70's; now that was bad music. And it's worse today.

  • I wish I had been born earlier, and had the chance to have met and married her. I could have made her life better that what she had.

  • I love Rosemary Clooney. I think her version of Mambo Italiano is fantastic. But as a southerner, I have to say this is one of the worst versions of this Hank Williams songs I've ever heard.

  • rosemary is effortlessly talented and SO adorable in this clip - what a cutie!

  • In my opinion, Rosemary was just a little better than the top female singers of her era.

  • She looks so beautiful here.

  • the correchts words for 'botch a me' are bacia mi, and this is italian and means kiss me.

  • Does anybody knows what a "botch-a-me" means. What does she mean with that, is that an italian slang or what. Its a quiestion?

  • its italian for kiss me, im not sure of the correct spelling

  • it's bacia i think, it's been about 8 years since I took Italian though.

  • Rose singing a Hank Williams song, what a treat.. love the slow pace

  • I like the way you breath, Rosemary.

  • Fantastic! What a talent, grace and charisma.

  • Wow I didn't realize she was so pretty as a young woman. Guess you cant be related to George Clooney and be ugly really...She sure had a hell of a figure too...Her body looks just like a barbie doll.

  • oh ew... she was soo pretty. George on the other hand... he lucked out!

  • I think rosemary clooney was the prettist woman ever when she was young!

  • This is one beautiful song I always enjoy listening since the mid1950s. I have always been wondering - thank you for putting the voice and the face together.

  • hank williams song

  • she's got george clooney's eyes... and i mean that in a complimentary way.

  • One diffrence, shes SOOO PRETTY! and personally i find George Clooney and ugly jerk.

  • you mean george clooney has her eyes

    since she came first

  • i think that they have the same face shape.

    but shes gorgeous regardless !

  • She is so PRETTY!

my little brothers have a huge crush on her, they are 2, 4 & 7.

  • I'm 16 and love the classics too, especially Rosemary Clooney! She's my all time favorite.

I love how everyone was so talented back then. And how they are all so naturally pretty!

  • great singers will never go out of style

    thx for postin

  • Yes shout out to all of the youngsters who like oldies. I am 21 and I love 50s 60s and 70 musics. I Love real entertainment back then people put their all into what they were doing whether it be dancing or singing you were going to a show you will never forget!!

  • hell yea, im 18, and entertainment today is nowhere near as talented

  • i agree.

  • ive allways been a fan of old movies ,music. Im the person in my school that talks about musicals nobody knows about. i feel the same way about artists these days. beautifull song! i love how it is in black and white!! :D

  • Sounds like you have an old soul......and I am sure not many kids your age see things that way! God Bless....

  • so cute! i love the dress! "that's-a nice!"...it would probably come off as racist if they sang a song like that now-a-days

  • I'm 14 turning 15, and feel 100% the same way. :]

There aren't too many of us out there who appreciate the classics, but we're out there all the same!

I know what you mean, though. Practically none of my friends appreciate real classic talent. To them, it's all just "old"... it's kind of sad.

  • You re absolutely right!I m so glad you ve realized that although you re only sixteen!

  • Colgate Comedy hour Martin and Lewis, buy the DVD, for about $2.99!

  • I got this for Christmas last year, on the Colgate comedy hour with Dean and Jerry L. It's a great comedy video, even without this awesome 24 yr old singer C. 1952 I think. I can listen to jazz, rock, country, gospel, and lotsa different kinds of music at work every day, but always find time for Rosemary. My Strat is named rosemary for that very reason!

  • Thank you, I've been looking for this forever!

  • Days of innocence ...

  • I can never get tired of listening Rosemary's beautiful, pure voice. I love all of her songs. I'm glad to see young people enjoying it, too. Tralalalalu!!!!!

  • shes lovely and oh so talented !!!!!!!!!

Has a beautifully warm personality which comes through in the music :)

I am going to sing all her songs one day !! :)

    Love Majella xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Those smiles at the end....i'm in tears.....my gosh this woman was such a beautiful person.....its such a pity that the mainstream society of today arent able to appreciate it

  • I definitely agree!

  • she is exceptional. it would be cool if she did rock an roll like her son. She understood more than we know,. I love her italian lov lov love you. MMMM always.

  • What a nice way of describing her performance. Thank you.

  • I am glad you can appreciate the good stuff. I love them all. Her voice is beautiful and so clear. Do you like that too?

  • Thanks. I guess my puter is not as good.

  • Botcha ? Aviators used it to wish a good mission and safe return. According to the dictionary. Anyone else ?

  • If you're interested, the whole episode is on DVD at HoughsVideos DOT 50Megs DOT Com. YouTube won't let me place the ".", so I have to type "DOT".

  • What is our society coming to?

This beautiful piece, with the wonderful Rosemary Clooney, has just over 22 hundred viewings, whereas Soulja Boy has well over 22 million.

Thanks for posting this clip! It has amazing clarity and, as said below, Rosie's expression and hand gestures are adorable.

  • I agree. I;m 15 and I pretty much think my generation sucks. Any chance I can join yours, lol? :)

  • I'm 14, and I agree. We need to start a "Born-In-The-Wrong-Decade" group somewhere. :)

  • agreed!

  • @YouTalker Whooooo now you're 17? hahaha im right around there and I agreeeeeeeeee :DDDDD

  • @YouTalker No one cares.

  • She's so adorable! Just in all the little things she does to the camera. She knew how to work it!

  • I had a crush on her in 55' when I was five. Still do.

  • I met her years ago, She was the most loving human person I have ever met. She treated me like a human being ro me she will be number one in my heart... Miss you very much Rosie!

  • Look at that face! Who could not love her? When she died, I felt like I lost my own mother. She had wonderful children, and WAS a wonderful mother! Also, a cute nephew ;)
