  • good stuff !

  • @DAVIE1488 Hi Thank's pleased you like the vid . Terry

  • Wow...I'm learning more and more...Tool maker?...I had no idea...sitting here slack jawed...I'm so impressed...Thank you Terence...Thank you too David for the vid...your brother is a genius...

  • @zip343 Your welcome zip343

  • i have a jawa babetta and there the same roller type bearing but i replaced it with cage roller bearings there a lot more efishiant and do not mesh like the ones loose without the cage i foud out that i do not get piston slap?? naw but before it did and thanks for the info on the special tool it took me ages last tyme i built one

  • Hi , Yes i agree the caged rollers are easy to fit , and they roll better rather than the loose may scuff a little , I use this tool when i know the small end's are o.k. and intend to put them back . Thank's for your comment . Terry

  • make a bush from an old piston pin?

another question,\ i also have this type and engine, runs good but some have factory mistakes in the cylinders. ports are not at the same spot as the canals, so partly blocking one-other..

Does anyone have the data from factory about the distances and measurements of the ports in the cylinders??

  • @enfielddnepr . Yes you can make this tool from old piston pin , Need surface grinding though for more clearence . Thank's for your comment , I'll try to find out those measurment's for you . Cheer's Terry

  • No to si dělá srandu ne, děda anglickej? On tam to jehlový ložisko šoupl jen prstem?? To nemyslí vážne.............

  • @stepanprasiq , Appriciate what you say , Cheer's , Terry

  • Okey then :) put it like that, it makes perfect sense. as far as I know, loose rollers are still more common in CZ, caged bearings are harder to obtain, they are made in lesser tolerances and may have shortish life. On the other hand, if you buy and fit them good, they are said to muffle the mechanical noise so typical for these engines. But I dont have any idea how things are in your country, so Im sorry, I think I cant really help you with this. Cheers Martin

  • @martintobi Hi Martin , Thank's for your reply , The caged roller's do seem to be a problem for me somtimes , It seem's that if i put the piston pin back in small end with original loose roller's ,it's a nice fit . but if i take loose roller's out and replace with a caged one the pin is to tight to go threw the caged roller . But i can try the same on another jawa 638 and somtimes they fit . I think the only option for me then is to buy new conrod kit's . Thank's again .All the best Terry

  • @supercross1985 Hi, Yes it's best to put some cloth in aswell .Car'nt take anything for granted , Thank's for your comment . Terry

  • do you mix oil with the gas ?

  • @socrati007 Hi , Yes on this model , 2 stroke oil is mixed with fuel . at 40/1 mix . Cheer's Terry

  • Why did you grinded off one edge of the piston pin? I hope nobody assembled his engine with mutilated pin, after watching your video. And one more thing, your way of assembling is unnecessarily complicated. You can easily assemble the bearing, by assembling it inside the piston-rod - no grease needed - than put the piston on it and force the piston pin through the piston. Also, if the the parts are new, it is better to preheat the piston at about 80°C and work quickly :)

  • @martintobi Hi , I put a taper on the one side purley to aid the demo. All these part's that i use are for demo only , And would never be used in a rebuild . , as you know piston pin's come in various oversizes . so if small end loose roller's are servicable i will alway's put them back . But if you fit new bearings they will be caged ,and easy to put back by hand , but may need oversize pin ?? I find this tool work's for me , but everybody work's differently . Cheer's Terry

  • @PixelKlaus Hi Klaus . Thank's for your comment on this . I must admit this will alway's be my favorite tool i developed . Cheer's Terry

  • thanks

  • nice tip, a bit annoing comments from camera man :P

  • mein jawa ist innerlich sehr sauber auber außen nicht :D

  • The crank im useing for the demo could do with a clean :-) But the engine i rebuilt for my R.T. 350 Is spotless inside and out. It's the best way to rebuild them , Starting with a parrafin bath :-) Thank's for your comment. All the best . Terence.
