That was what I was getting at when I said that there albums were very different (Make believe and Maladroit) These all reflected a different time within Rivers artistic career and only recently since the Red Album has the band had more imput. These albums show a progression instead of stagnation and because all their songs during this entire progression are great, says a hell of a lot for this band.

I believe that most people who don't like weezer because they aren't producing what they were in Pinkerton fall within one of two categories.

1.People who genuinly like the more grungy albums and artists like Nirvana. If that is the case, I believe that Maladroit is another good album with that feel.

2. People who expect Weezer to always be that dopey band with Rivers expressing his social awkwardness instead of other themes like being emotional like in Make believe, or angry like Maladroit
