You saw in the previous episodes that Eunbyeol likes the teacher & not TOP...& besides that the drama is called "I Am SAM (aka SAEM/TEACHER) It's about the relationship between a student and her teacher.!! @thecoffinilaidin teenagers doesn't equal the whole target audience. TOP at this point wasn't a good actor and placing him in the lead role would have been bad because he was inexperienced. And even in IRIS, TOP's acting was still pretty stale.

It's like a strange mix of both. When she leaves, it seems like they had a lover relationship, but since it always seemed more like a father-daughter relationship in the rest of the show, I approve more of the less icky relationship. xD However, the original manga was more a forbidden love story, so I guess the producers were pushing for that.
