Two, three G forces every 10 seconds for a couple of hours, cockpit temp at 100 degrees F plus a hot flameproof suit, wrestling around a car that's oversteering so much it seems like it's trying to kill you... I'd be panting and moaning too. And probably crying, or at least swearing a lot. Great video!!
if its such hard work then why do Hamilton, Alonso, etc. sound so composed on the radios driving cars that are INFINITELY more physically taxing to drive? race driving wears you out, but it doesnt require such fucking exertion to turn the wheel that you have to grunt like a little girl. Coronel is a good driver, but he needs to cut that stupid shit out. unless he has some broken ribs there is no justification for that bullshit.
@ke0ki2k F1 drivers sound composed on the radio coz they are TALKING and ppl in boxes must understand WHAT they are talking, i bet that they breath like 3 times heavier during the race.
wow good driving...and yeah...his breathing sounds funny but it is really hard to drive seriously...ur brain needs all the oxygen to concentrate as much as possible...plus the Gs do wear u out.
even i get tired after 12 laps of continous cornering in a go kart.....
To all the "internet forum racers" Racing is physically and mentally very tiring at this level of competing. If someone put a microphone in your face after you ran for example 45 mins, you would be sounding the same.
This guy tested formula 1 and became champion in various formula and touring car series. He isnt scared of driving as some of you suggest.
Come on, try to be fair. I'ma competitor myself, of course nowhere near Tom's level but I've never saw someone breathing so fast and actually grunting while driving. I guess it's simply an idiosynchrasy, a normal thing that all humans have, often more than one, it's the same thing with his habit of resting his right hand on his knee on long straights I saw on other videos.
A couple of times - I believe in 2001, a F1 team had microphones installed in the helmets during practice. Not the radio kind but real recording ones.
And the driver breathed faster than Tom is doing here. It was funny that the driver held his breath at every high speed corner and after the corner he sucked in a big gulp of air and started breathing again. It was really cool to see an onboard lap with that sound. Made you realize that racing on the edge, physically, isn't as easy as it looks.
man I race KZ2 karts and they place much harder lateral loads in cornering and acceleration than a touring car and I dont hyperventilate like that. he needs to cut that shit out, its over the top.
listen to radio transmission of F1 drivers, they dont sound NEARLY that winded or strained and those cars are a million times more demanding. Coronel is a pussy if thats legit audio.
I represent as badly pilots GT1 or F1

If he's a good driver, why do you even care about such trivial crap like 'grunting'?

Seat all the way!
And his breathing really shows that racing is very hard work, and not just driving nice car on the nice smooth road.

Tommy rules..
And for the bastards with the commands on the breathing.
Just take place behind the wheel and drive for 10 minutes and record how you sound. This is very hard work to keep a car like this on the road.
