actually no Randy was a HUGE jackson fan and i know for a fact that it was not a Gibson but actually a custom Jackson model. i think they only made like two. one for him and another for Zakk Wylde, so the only way you could get one of those guitars is if ur insane with ur playing like him and Zakk, or a big name guitarist, and you have like 4000 or more to buy a guitar. lol
yea i know i just found that out like 2 seconds after i posted the previous comment lol! they're relle nice, hand made by a Luthier named Karl Sanoval in Southern California, and VERY expensive even on ebay they're like 7,500 lol and btw it was custom made for randy and was a pain cuz he wanted all this fancy shit for his NEW guitar lol and funny thing cuz he broke the neck and headstock when his strap broke and he was crying lol
and sorry i go on forever about randy but he's my idol and a guitar god in every sense of the word. he wasn't like the rest who were on drugs and were all stuck up saying "oh classical music is shitty!" Randy was like "screw you guys! i'm gonna combine the two! (rock/ 80's metal and classical)" lol Randy > every one else XD
true, he got it fixed cuz it was just the head and neck, when he got it back he was so happy XD but see that guitar was special to him cuz it was the only made for him at the time and it was handmade. but wtv RANDY + POLKA DOTS = GREATNESS!
Lol I caught that too, but I dont think his voice was trained like it is now. If you look at his sabbath days he didn't have too much range in his songs, and in Crazy Train, he started to pursue that range, and I think thats where his practice was.
