  • I once preformed a dance in a show to this song. It was one of the last dances with my group I ever did. You can bet your life that this song makes me think of my friends from dancing. I miss them all. Quiting was one of the worst mistakes I ever made. I miss you, Abbie & Kirsty! It's Jordy, by the way! :)

(hey, there's always a chance they may watch this! I wanna give a shout out the first opportunity I have!)

  • i like this one

  • i like this version so much better...

  • If anyone is under the miscomprehension that Rachel is better than Kurt, you better get to an ear Dr. have surgery and listen again! Team Kent!

  • Kurt is my fav :)

  • Actually, this is not a cover of the Wicked version. Idina Menzel's "I Stand" album had a solo version of the song as a bonus track for the UK album. That is the version Glee covered.

  • too fast :/

  • @aimeesmith001 Yeah, its like 2x the speed of the original gravity. The drums also make it bad...

  • I am sorry but i do not like this version lea is good and kurts voice does not go with this song the Wicked version with idina mendzel is much better than this much more powerful

  • @McCaseyMc - Agreed. I bawled like a baby, but in all honesty it was very fitting for Jack (props to Cast for her amazingly developed characters). I still adore the song, too.

  • I don't watch glee I just like the song because I heard it from an exandshadow sonic the hedgehog 2006 video

  • Like this if your heart broke when Kurt missed the note on the show... :( </3

  • and now your comment is gone...

  • rachel's voice is so powerful

  • Jack died when this song was playing. :( I hate neferet.

  • My dance team is dancing to this version :)

  • @SmurfasaurusRex doesn't really seem like a song to dance to I'm assuming you guys are dancing for a basketball game right?

  • i remeber this episode ;) i miss glee watched all episodes already on netflix......guess i watched them 2 fast! ;(

  • Hate the show, love the music -3

  • adoooooro essa música! ;')

  • Get lost haters. . . ♥ Chris and Lea .

  • -facepalm-

  • Dont get me wrong, its not that i hate Glee. but i just.. uhg.. idk, if its not the original its not the same. The glee cast does have some great talent though.

  • @J1M1productions thats right

    the same as me

  • @J1M1productions I agree no one can out do Idina Menzel!

  • Willemijn Verkaik is 100000000000000000 times better xd

  • Maybe its just me, but I really wish people would quit comparing this version to the version from Wicked. Yes, the lyrics are the same, but the songs are vastly different. Do I have a preference? Sure I do. If I'm listening to music, I want to hear Glee's version, its more pleasing to the ear, but if I'm seeing Wicked, live on stage, you better believe that the version performed will be the highlight for me. Each is an amazing piece of music, and one does not need to be 'better' than the other.

  • @Nyhtfall I don't think people understand how hard musical theater is... The wicked version of this song is amazing.

  • @Nyhtfall The Wicked version is better.

  • @Nyhtfall that's the problem with covers. you are ALWAYS reminded to the original song, and as a fan of the original song it is - most of the cases - impossible to like the cover version.

  • Hmm although I like this version, I find Idina's version more magical... especially during the first chorus.

  • I disagree that the glee version is better.. it is hastened, cut short, in turn affecting one of the most important aspect of this song, which is the gradual changes of attitudes of both characters as the song progresses. By omitting much of the lyrics of the song, it is inevitable that the story behind the song has been lost. While arguably more pleasing to the ear, the glee version sacrifices depth and transition. Too bad more people have heard of the glee version than the original.

  • Es mejor dueto ....

Me encanta cuando cantan esos 2

  • I'm so tired of people trying to get their own comment as a 'top comment' just by mentioning something about a top comment. It's annoying

  • I cry when I hear this...jack was my favorite character in house of night...and he was singing this song before he died3

  • This always makes me think of Jack in the house of night series... :'(

  • @KGGOJBBOTHOFTHEM Same:'( I sobbed so bad when Jack died!

  • You've got to love when the top comments have grammar errors.

  • I honestly like this better than the real version.

    I LOVE GLEE!

  • not matter how sad i am, this song never fails to cheer me up because of a certain Chris Colfer<3

  • This is one of "It`s so good," well ... it`s. ;D

  • 0:19: "OOOH, SOMEONE ELSE IS GAY."

  • i loved this song WAYYY before glee discovered it...

  • i dont care if hes gay i love kurt/ chris <3

  • @131313pie why, i don't care if you're straight i still don't like you. makes as much sense as your statement there.

  • @gretzz007 i was just saying it doesnt matter to me. (unlike some people in my familly) and im sorry if you didnt like what i said.... :)

  • @gretzz007 I understand that & in that case I'm happy that u feel unlike your family the least. I just don't understand the need ppl have to keep making such statements u did eg. Society will never start accepting gays if people keep pointing at them in such manner. There's nothing to point at. Bluntly, you only need to know one's sexuality if you're planning on having sex with them. As gay as I am I did find your comment there a little.. well, a little disturbing I guess. Sorry I snapped there.

  • this was so good! I just wish that Kurt had more solo time inside of harmony. :(

  • Kurt's solo version is better!!!!!!

  • I love the songs from wicked sung by glee :)

  • Kurt needs more solo's :)

  • They would be such a cute couple!!!!!<3:}

  • my #1 song on glee

  • not as good as when its performed on broadway and its sad that they cut out some of the lyrics from it... i think this is really good but the best versions i've heard were Idina Menzel and Rachel Tucker's versions..

  • Kurt is so talented, can't find the words to describe his voice.

  • 1:56 ..favorite part <3

  • who is the original singer?

  • @lauuraa0911 Its from the musical Wicked :)

  • @lauuraa0911 im pretty sure idina menzel was thee first to sing it, if not one of the first. im not a big follower of Wicked, but idina is on glee now so i really like her voice :)

  • @lauuraa0911 It's from the broadway show Wicked, it was the finale to act I witha duet between Idina Menzel (aka Shelby Corcoran) and Kristen Chenoweth (aka April Rhodes) hoped I helped!

  • She sounds like a Disney character..... anyone else?

  • this will make me sound like such a nerd, but i was reading one of the house of night books and this song is mentioned as a kids dying. it wierdly gave me an urge to listen to it....?

  • I like this song but you can't compare it to the Original. It is nice as a duet however.

  • ive listened to this song like 200000000 times

  • i need help!!!! i'm debating singing this for a musical audition. think it is a good idea for my voice? i have vids on my prof. i would just love to be in a musical .:)

  • @magicinmymusic Go for it! Shows you are ambitious, through what the song is about how much of a challenge it will be :P plus if the person casting has any sense they'll know how epic the song is and let you in :) let me know! I'm excited for you! :D

  • @magicinmymusic hey!

so i listende to a few of your songs and you have got a great voice! i think this would be a great song for you as long as you feel confident singing the real high notes in the end ;)

you have a trong voice so i think you can manage it!!

  • @magicinmymusic

I wouldn't sing this song. It's still too new and popular of a musical and the music director/director/producer WILL compare your voice to the Broadway cast (Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenowith are very talented, so it's hard being compared to them right off the bat.). Try something older and like the musical you're auditioning for but that will still show off your range.

If you need any help, I am a professional actor/singer. Just shoot me a message or something.

  • love this songxx

  • I like this but its nothing on the true wicked version!

  • i dont know why but ive always picture lea to play Galinda >.> cause her voice is very kind sounding...

  • Call me crazy, but I heard the original version and I still like this one better. Dunno why.

  • 463 people tried to defy gravity but fell flat on their faces.....this song is awesome! But honestly, I think the original is better :)

Like this comment if you like this comment!

  • I HATE it that glee became so dramatic that they barely have and good songs like this one!!!!!! sry if i offended anyone but just sayin :)

  • @simba7865 i am sorry but the adele mashup was epic...

  • @Mr100people well im sayin tht they dont sing songs as much as they used to... now its all about drama. :/

  • @Mr100people but ure right they still play a couple of good songs :)

  • I like both versions :)

  • I would like to point something out to the whole 'which is better: broadway or glee?' argument. Let's be objective. Objectively the Glee cast were superior in their ability to stay in pitch, maintain correct tempo, and smoothly 'hit' the important notes. The being said, the Glee members are given hundreds of attempts that are then spliced together in studio, a luxury not given to the Broadway singers. Both are equally talented singers, but I do not feel I am unjust in saying that while the Glee

  • @DanielDebarberat are wonderful singers most would be unable to walk onto a stage night after night and be perfectly in pitch, on tempo, etc. Nor I do I feel most of them would be able to do said performance night after night with the talent of the Broadway cast. These people are good singers but have been coddled by the editing talents of a studio worker, while on the other hand the Broadway cast are so focused on just getting through the performance that perhaps they do not take the time to

  • @DanielDebarberat improve upon their craft as often as they should. Either way, both songs are lovely.

  • @DanielDebarberat well most of them have been on broadway or were stage singers so i wouldnt be talking.... :p

  • @DanielDebarberat You just sent that to yourself...

  • @DannixxxDd If you'd read what she said, you'd see that she didnt have enough space to post it all in one message, so she sent it to herself so people would understand that that's the continuation. But unfortunately you didnt get it :/

  • @GirlWithHardLife i did, i was just joking.

  • Kurt clearly would've won the battle had he not lost intentionally :) Beautiful song, though!

  • @pinksparklypig Personally I think that Rachel would've won either way.

  • If anyone says that this is better than the original version, they deserve to be shot in the face.

This version has NOTHING on the broadway version.

  • you should listen connie talbots version :D

  • I like the original one better.....but this is really good

  • This is not Elphaba and Glinda.

  • @WickedSmileyify

    Derp. That's why it says "GLEE" in the title. >>;
