  • you set timing with the engine at low rpm? and you disconnect the vacum advance also right? make sure all ports on carb are hooked up or plugged......just sayin....love the video thanks for the up-load

  • Well done! You guys know your stuff. Good job!

  • my fav part was the fire ball, never seen an engine do that before

  • @bladeslash4

Google 'another start attempt' on youtube, tlfrantz1 for a good fireball. Almost did a fireball in my pants.

    tlfrantz1

  • Your timing at the 1st and 2nd try is retarded...advance it. The main thing is that you better get the distance correct on the starter and the flywheel or you will be replacing the flywheel. The sound it is making is the sound of the starter gear and the ring gear being too far apart. Do a GOOGLE search for MotorsbyShooter...contact me there and I will help you with the Hemi. BTW...35* on a stock motor is way too much...you will hurt the motor.

  • man love the color on that car and i would die for that car lucky man hope u take good care of it

  • reminds me of firing my 440 the other day turned out we had the dist in wrong

  • Learn to "static time" look up old VW beetle. Bump/ wrench engine, watch both no1 valves closed, or (on hemi) poke rubber tip / compression ga. into no1, bump until compression starts, wrench 'til marks come up about 10BTC. Drop in dist, rotor pointing to no1 tower, rotate dist CCW (retard), then back CW (advance) until points open/ spark at coil/ reluctor lined up. Easy. starts right up

  • when you put the engine together you have 1 at TDC and when you put the dizzy on you set the advance without the cap on by measuring the angle between the mark on the dizzy and the rotor, saves all this trouble.

  • nice sound

  • It kills me to watch an engine not ready to start. It takes its toll on the engine and the owner. Its not that difficult to get it right BEFORE you start it up. See an old timer before attempting this kids-Dvorak

  • what a beauty

  • let's see a vid of it driving & doing a burnout!

  • prety clean

  • timing is everything :) nice hemi!

  • legendary engine,lovely car
