Such a lovely couple...This movie was done so well. The background people were nice to look at too. This was before so many people became obese and started wearing the all-purpose t-shirt. Although, when I went to Venice several years ago, the Italians still looked good for the most part. Such an attractive people, the Italians. It was pleasant to hear the Italian language spoken. I hope that the Italians don't let Italy become Americanized. Keep Italy beautiful!

One no vote to Summertime. They never see each other as anything but stereotypes. They don't get to know each other -- it never goes deeper than a movie-script vacation romance. Except for beautiful Venice I've always wondered where this movie got its reputation.

I've had numerous good times in this beautiful Piazza, even more beautiful in technicolor... I love how she puts on her shades to try and disappear after she did such an obvious double take...and I love the soundtrack. One of my favorite movies. Thank U!

Couldn't agree with you more. Summertime is one of my favorites as well. One of those movies that has such a strong yet sensitive,delicate emotional tone to it that it is impossible not to be taken by its powerful magic. Couple that with the scenery of Venice and who could ask for anything more? (Except to be there in reality!)
