This is how they could have made it better and longer

Gravos gose under the lava. Shows a pack of monsters. Than when they least expect it Gravos Charges out of the Lava and kills all but one. Than One is geting away. So gravos aims at it. The camera moves to the front of gravos from a distance. Than it Fires its Lazer and it hits the screene and than it ends.

They are both in MHF2 and MH2G/MHFU, you can get them by fighting a monster and defeating it for the first time, you'll get a message that says something like ''Gravios Ecology added to gallery'', you can acces the gallery in the main menu screen.

i think it would be like cooler, when a basarios comes, and hits an other one in the lava, then lava becomes like all black, and then the basarios comes out as gravios and fires the beem right in the face of that other bas.. yeah that eco would own

Basarios are premature Gravios, its not likely that they would attack each other.
