Also, I like her voice. She did a faithful cover, meaning she had to go down into an octave she may not have been 100% used to, but if she raised it she would have to raise the rest an octave as well. I like the low parts almost as much as the high.

I think is great to give Tool a different view. It's impossible to do what they do, so doing a version is not all about imitating but also about adding something from yourself to the song.

This girl may not have a Maynard like voice, but remember: Tool is Tool, Vicarious Tool Tribute is a band inspired by Tool. For me, this song sounds pretty good and it's bold to try something new like it.

The irony is that she's trying to put too much husk in her voice; if she would just sing like a woman, the way she probably wants to sing it, it'd sound great. Like, the pre-chorus sounds great!

No...its not tool....you guys are missing the point because your seeing something other than what you wanted/expected. That was awesome. Does anyone notice how talented they all are? The drummer is almost perfect to the album. Yes, the singer used some intonations that my ear didn't agree with, but so what? It's art. You don't have to like it....just appreciate it.

I agree that there are a lot of haters here, and I really don't like shitting on vocalists because that's probably the hardest thing to do, not just when you're covering Tool, but in general. But she is obviously not doing a good job.
