This is what counter punchers do against aggressive fighters. They take the beating the first few rounds learning their opponent, then they just start chopping down the tree. Mayweather would do the same to pac. Pac comes out aggressive, but after getting countered, he stops a lot of movement and he becomes cautious about taking hits. Like he did with his last fight with Marquez.
@oneworldkingdom Marquez was the aggressive one in the last fight (as one person noted, Marquez had everything to gain, Pacquiao had everything to lose). Pacquiao was being very conservative for most of the fight, and didn't really open up till about Round 8. In the first two Pacquiao-Marquez fights, however, it was Pacquaio opening up in the early rounds.
@DevilTakeMe He was the aggressive one because Pac knew what he was up against. In their previous fights Pac was the aggressive one but Marquez slowed him down both fights. Floyd is double the fighter Marquez is and is far superior in countering. That style poses a real threat for pac. I just don't see him beating Floyd. Maybe the first 3 rounds, but after that, we'll just get a repeat performance from the Marquez fight. Just with more punches and precision.

He moved up in weight for the big money fights, but It obviously wasn't his prime weight, which is why Floyd lost his power when he moved up in weight.

This is what counter punchers do against aggressive fighters. They take the beating the first few rounds learning their opponent, then they just start chopping down the tree. Mayweather would do the same to pac. Pac comes out aggressive, but after getting countered, he stops a lot of movement and he becomes cautious about taking hits. Like he did with his last fight with Marquez.

Pacquiao was being very conservative for most of the fight, and didn't really open up till about Round 8. Floyd is double the fighter Marquez is and is far superior in countering. That style poses a real threat for pac. I just don't see him beating Floyd. Maybe the first 3 rounds, but after that, we'll just get a repeat performance from the Marquez fight. Just with more punches and precision.

@DDeCouto Floyd is more natural at welterweight than Manny...but like you said, Martinez is way to big for either one. He would drain himself to nothing.

@chocruz83 it was a typo as i cleaned it up in other comments , flloyd is p4p number one , why would he fight sergio which would be a tuff fight but he would still win when it is not going to be a huge fight , floyd is a prize fighter meaning he fights for the money as he already proved him self as one of the best ever , fighting sergio would be pointless not alot of money

@dadondutta yeah, most people don't even know about Sergio, so you're right is too much risk and no money for now, still u never know what may happened if he fought # 2 and 3, i mean to b the best u gotta beat the best, Ali won against the best, he still lost 1 against Frazier at his best, after the 1st people will want a rematch, don't thnk Floyd will gve him the opportnty but pacquiao might ...and then maywheather will still duck Sergio

@dadondutta i don't think would b easy, he has a perfect defense but Sergio is not a counter puncher like marquez, he will stalk him and hit him much stronger than any of the others.. i think would be close even tho i gve the edge to Floyd on points if he can survive but think sergio would KO pacman for sure

Cotto was ah great counter puncher and Manny went right thru him. And how do u figure size was not ah factor for Juan against Floyd. It was his 1st fight at welterweight while Floyd was natural at that weight.

@Borges production. Please dont compare manny Pacquiao to Shane Mosley in regards to Floyd. Manny would possess greater explosion and foot speed and would go all night with Floyd. Shane in this fight tried to land the big punches early, that's the reason he tightened up and couldn't adjust. Moseys more accustomed to brawlers ie margarita,mayorga and Vargas.

@jasonpeng1 manny can't handle counter punchers and jmm proved that. there was no bad night for manny unless the first to fight's where bad nights also. Jmm also proved it wasn't the size difference in the jmm/mayweather fight but, floyds skill level. I say easy work for floyd he'd stop manny . Floyd would do everything jmm did except, better and not get hit as much as jmm because his defense is better

I hated Mayweather before and Mosley was and still is my fav fighter and I predicted Mosley would KO Mayweather. After seeing this fight, Mayweather earned my respect to the fullest. He was not running, he was fighting Mosley and came forward even when ge got hurt. True champ. He took care of my dude and adjusted. Just this fight alone I know Pacman can't fuck w/ Floyd. Look at 1:52! The best right hand I have ever fucking seen!!!

@BorgesProduction I was confident that Floyd would beat Mosley but all talk before the fight that Mosley had KO power kindve made me doubt that Floyd would still win......I still thought Floyd would win but not as much.

When Floyd beat them, there was no weight drain, NO CATCHWEIGHT, no steriods & they came off of impressive victories, Shane dominated Margarito, Marquez OUTCLASSED & OUTBOXED Wackiao (hell Hatton was undefeated when he fought Floyd)!
