My fear is of the republican party and ANYone who calls the "will of the people" billions in backing from multi national corporations on who's radar the "the will of the people" doesn't even exist. Boy, they are good at making the tea party puppets move though.
i live in Virginia Foxxs district and me personally im for the health care bill because if america would have been fighting the illegal aliens and kicking them out or showing them how to become a citizen of this country the health care sytem wouldnt be broken because illegals go from one hospital to the other without paying the bill. also americans are doing the same thing because they cant afford health care or insurance companies wont take them on pre existing conditions
how much is spent per month on private insurance each month? have you looked at you check stubs lately? do the math. what you put in - plus what your company puts in - times 50 million people just like you equals how much? the people working at insurance companies know a good thing when they see it
Spacecowboy98, I have all of that stuff covered without the healthcare bill. $2.5 Trillion later, I won't have near the coverage I have right now, and our country will be broken beyond repair.
In time, we will see that Virginia Foxx was right.
This is reinforced by Bruce Bartletts report in a post entitled, appropriately, The Closing of the Conservative Mind:
Since [Frum] is no longer affiliated with AEI, I feel free to say publicly something he told me in private a few months ago. He asked if I had noticed any comments by AEI scholars on the subject of health care reform. I said no and he said that was because they had been ordered not to speak to the media because they agreed with too much of what Obama was trying to do.
As a Democrat and a North Carolinian i can assure Virginia there is a Santa Claus and his name is Barack Obama ..The only difference is he is black ..well half black .. Anyway i must respectfully disagree with You Virginia ,, The greatest threat to our state and our nation is 2 do what Republicans in congress have done for decades . Preach the bible while not giving a damn about their fellow man while lining their pockets with OUR money . Thank God for those who had the balls to stand up 2 them.
Virginia Foxx is MY rep and I am very proud of her fight against this radical health reform bill. Don't let the white hair and southern accent fool you, fools! She is a very gutsy lady who has been around Washington for a long time and has a lot of wisdom. This bill is not about health care, but about complete Fed. take over. It's not over, the states are going to throw law suites against this take over. The fight has just begun!
hey greenie, I'm sorry that you've been misinformed but this bill is not a government takeover. This bill regulates the private insurance companies in so many ways that is beneficial to all Americans. Including you! Think of it more as a Consumer Protection bill protecting us from the Health Insurance companies that would one day deny coverage to you greenie had this bill not existed. And what are you fighting against, did you know this bill is not too different from the republicans position?
@spacecowboy98 OK Cowboy, fair is fair..sorry about the remark about your daughter. I'm also the proud parent of two beautiful daughters, but I still disagree with this bill. Its not that this nation does not need health reform, that should have been taken care of many years ago. I just don't like THIS health reform and what has been sandwiched in it. The way in which the bill was passed was a disgrace and is going to come back and bite America in the rear.
@thegreenieye And what puzzles me is that this bill pretty much mirrors the health care bill that Mitt Romney passed when he was govenor of Massachusetts. Something smells fishy! When David Frum wrote that critique of the GOP's failure for handling Health Care Reform, that was the first time I was aware that the healthcare bill and Republicans idea of a health care bill were very similar in intent. This bill will save American lives! Is that not important to you and the Republican party?
No Lady..I fear another un-needed war, and more profits for the rich who don't give a crap about themiddle or lower class that can't ever get a break because of Republicans like you work for the rich! GO HEALTH CARE!
Oh ma Gawd! Barrok Obama is a durty comminist tryin to get helth care to por peoples oh shit we better pray to Sarah Palin and hope Ronald Reagan comes back as a super zombie to save us or we iz all doomed!
@juggernautxtr You know what? I don't mind paying the taxes for health care because it will directly benefit all American people and save lives to boot! Do we not care about saving American lives? Why would spending our tax dollars on a war to protect our lives not be the same as spending our tax dollars to save our lives through a Health Care Reform bill? And this will finally end the spiraling costs due to Health Insurance co's arbitrarily raising their premiums for "profit"!
since when do drugs cure anything? ask the FDA. they cover up the symptoms
they cure nothing. the FDA is 35% of why medical costs you so must. the rest is fraudulent or excessive malpractice lawsuits. if everyone is forced to buy health care you only give the insurance the power of higher rates.
since when did herbal medicine ever get a medical review? never
your just another blind dumbshit that thinks government can fix the problem.
@juggernautxtr where did I say anything about drugs? Where did I ever say anything about herbal medicines? Calling me a dumbshit , what are you talking about?
cause you are an idiot, that was suckered into believing the problem got fixed when the problem was made worse you need to wake up. government has only made the problem bigger and the middle class just got bit in the ass again. and your sitting there saying paying taxes to government to cover medical costs of someone else is okay?
@juggernautxtr What part about "SAVING LIVES" don't you understand? And what part about American families now have access to health care? And what part about making the health insurance co's to pay for medical costs for their members that you're unaware of? But can you hear the "SAVING LIVES" part? Your mother is in need of serious medical attention, how much time do you think about what it will cost? Nothing! Because now your mother is covered! Isn't that great news? Victory to all of us!
@juggernautxtr Don't you see the dentist? Maybe twice a year for clean up? Don't you get annual checkups at your physician? Check your blood pressure, prostate, cholesterol levels? Do you wear glasses or contacts? Are you paying for medical coverage presently through your employer? Do you have an occupation where there is a health risk? Breast cancer, allergies, cyst in the womb, yeast buildup, acne issues? Sleeping disorders, asthma, heart palpatations? Good thing, Health Care Reform passed!
@spacecowboy98 no i don't see a doctor i don't see a dentist and i don't pay health insurance.
why? because because doctors get kick backs from big pharma to push drugs that make you sicker not better. there are methods to fix your eye's with out the need of glasses. your just another idiot that thinks the doctor fixes you. i'll give you the example i had pin worms went to the doctor he gave me a drug the worms didn't go away. went to walgreens bought the herbal remedy for pin worms. done deal.
@juggernautxtr Man youre a fucking idiot, you completely ignored everything spacecowboy just said, jumped form one problem to the other. You got the political problem solving skills of a teenage emo nihilist. Get over yourself. Youre embarrassing your country. No, really, everyone in the world is laughing at your fear. its fucking pathetic.
Virginia is from down ol' Mayberry way? Sha-zam! But seriously, folks -- even Andy Griffith never encountered such a daffy redneck broad on the road to Mount Pilot. She belongs with Aunt Bee, wherever she is now ...
hey greenie, I take it you don't have a daughter. It is important to me like many Americans to support and care for their children. My daughter has scoliosis. When she finally move on to get her own coverage this bill will allow her to get her own insurance without the denial for pre-existing conditions. Both of my daughters are much too independent to depend on to their parents. Sorry I cannot accept your "old maid" stance.
The Health Care Reform Bill is a tremendous victory for the American People. My daughter will now be able to receive health care on our family plan until she is 26 year old extending her coverage 3 more years. Pre-existing condition will not apply as she gets coverage under a new plan when she leaves our plan. 32 million americans will now be able to receive affordable health care coverage. This is a great win for the Democrats and President Barak Obama. Yeaaaaahhhhhhhh for all of us Americans!
If you guys like getting charge up the ass, you're fucking stupid, health reform now.fuck this haters not every body is rich,Boehner is a fucking faggot , I'm tired of paying
i love how you try to bash on this woman when all she is doing is quoting your beloved presidents crackpot bill. Open your eyes and realise what Nobama is trying to do.
@hadenufnow do some research, your health care system is fuked, compare it to other countries and their systems, now think how the current system in your country needs to change relative to your findings... or you just could go and masterbate
Since when has government ever produced a sweeping program that is more efficient, cheaper, and something that people don't take extreme advantage of and abuse?
Never. Ever. President Obama's health care bill will bankrupt America.
43% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. That is the lowest level of total approval yet measured for this President. Fifty-five percent (55%) disapprove. The President earns approval from 76% of Democrats while 86% of Republicans disapprove. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 38% approve and 61% disapprove.
47 million mega, You said it was 30 million, Can't you get your facts straight! You know by your numbers 14,000 losing HC every single day X 365 days in one year = 5,100,000 Every year. How can you explain this. Your number doesn't include people getting on with other carriers. Doesn't account for people dying. Doesn't account for births. Really It doesn't account for shit. So your 14,000 a day is bull shit! -Continue-
Out of the 1% that do have to file for bankruptcy, which is only 300,000 people. 1% of those or 30,000 people have to file for bankruptcy due to medical bills only 30,000 are your most extreme cases in which they lose everything. So really you are over inflating your number! What happened Mega You went from 47 to 45, So which is it? People die everyday. People die in car accidents but you don't hear a cry to keep stupid people off the road do you. If you did they would pull yours license first!
@HarperMatrix people whom get really sick because of the lack of money to provide health care dont file for bankruptcy they die! ya fuckhead, you have really missed the point.... "HEALTH CARE" not "HEALTH AVOIDING BANKRUPCY "
Oh no, cry me a fucking river. There are millions of people in this world who die ever fucking day because of no health care. People die every day in countries with health care. So what is your bloody point. Here is one. Obama, hates America. Obama has broken this country.
The only thing left for Obama to do is to hand the keys over to China! Obama & you are the worst end to a bad decade.
Another frightened, Republican bigot. Fuck these idiots - line them up and shoot them. They don't represent the American people - they represent an ideology that has made our great nation look like a bunch of narrow-minded, conservative, super-religious douchebags. That's not America....this bitch is NOT what America is!!!
All bills floated including the scrapper the blom just came up with is a TAX & JAIL TROJAN HORSE MANDATE TO BUY....and nobody wants any part of any version of these...they never did and never will...
The OPTION is BUY OR GO TO JAIL....& you call that an option...Call it what it is...
A TAX & JAIL Trojan Horse Mandate...and you see fit to debate this???
Netherland & Switzerland, 99% coverage and no public plan, but insurance companies are regulated like utility companies. Taiwan & Singapore have best medical care system in the world, 99% coverage, high quality, NO WAITING, and they are government run with less 5% GDP. Unreasonable premium, preexisting condition exclusion, changing drug formulary, deny treatment, medicare drug GAP for Senior are just plain wrong. Come on my fellow American, let us fix the healthcare for our children sakes!
Health care should NOT be provided by the for profit insurance companies.
Get rid of the greedy insurance companies with their extravagant CEO salaries and preexisting condition. Every American deserves the peace of mind of health care.
I don't think you understood who I was posting too or what context I was posting in. If you would've you would have realized I was posting @ someone who was for Obamacare.
It amazes me how these Southern Conservatives always wrap themselves in the flag and the Constitution when it suits their needs and propoganda.
Maybe she can pass a bill that allows the government of North Carolina to build Mobile Incinerators for lowering the poor population in North Carolina.
Just think Virginia, you can sit on the front porch, drink Mint Julips and listen to the blacks singing about how great it is to be on the Plantation. "Oh Mammy, Mammy I is come'n home."
Taiwan and Singapore has best medical care system in the world, 99% coverage, high quality, and they are government run. Learn from the Smart Chinese!!!
Do some research other than Canada and Brits. It's time to learn from the East. China a so Called communist country is now USA's Banker. LOL!
I be lookin for some chumps to PAY fo MY HELF CAYA man,...I needs you be pay fo MY HELF CAYA NOW....an smile when i tole you dat man...it all be worf it man...all bw worf it....
I'm Canadian and we have great health care. It's unfortunate that a small minority of manipulative fear mongers can convince so many people that such a basic right as health care is a bad thing.
It's unfortunate that a small minority (liberals) of manipulative fear mongers can convince so many people that such a basic right as health care is denied to them. Every American has the guaranteed right to health care.
But you aren't talking about health care. YOU are talking about health INSURANCE and calling it health care. Everyone has a right to health care, not health insurance, and forcing it down our throats and forcing us to pay for it (in addition to taxing us for it) is wrong.
Why don't you privatize police services, think of all the taxes you could cut. People who would like security and to be protected from theft and rape could buy safety insurance from a private policing company. That makes a lot of sense now I get it.
In the absence of a single payer system h.c. insurance is virtually synonymous with basic health care outside of emergency wards.
If your distinction between insurance and health care is such a point with you, did you attack the GOP for calling an optional INSURANCE plan government HEALTH CARE?
Keeps getting better, Govt is exempt from their own policy, Unions are now exempt from the taxes on their policy, Nebraska exempt from medicaid costs, Louisiana is given 100's of billions, and Conneticut got 100 million for Dodds vote and he is retiring rather than be fired. I guess I should pay for all them, while being taxed more on my plan and then being forced to Govt option that provides substandard care. The beauracracy will also have access to my finances and so i pay their bloatd pension
Amendment 28 Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States ..

Documents do not lie.
We finally have proof we have been infiltrated.
They say the only thing that can stop them is for the American people to stand up and say, "No more!"
See my page's comments section for CAIR expose details and "PLAN".
Forcing the purchase of insurance is conversion if not seizure. Useful idiots
believe government is going to care for them. Health care isn't the issue, it's about liberty being eroded by rogue politicians. This is no longer a democratic republic when payola is used to pass law or non-elected officials
like czars or EPA goons dictate policy by arbitrary order or decree. "A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have". Thomas Jefferson
Freak boy ""dingy harry"" on page 1000 in the bill placed a statute where the bill cannot be rescinded or repealed without 67 senate votes in favor..a virtual impossibility..
.......What a jackass,,,,
.......We'll just find another way to make it more difficult for those freaks to face people in public for the rest of their miserable rotten lousy lives.
According to the Alberta Canada rags, Canadian HC system is no bargain & nothing to espouse..especially as a model in any way shape or form....Long lethal waits for surgery & is financially unsound & getting worse every year..
.... although I agree with you that this bill is a 'sham', .. your take on the CN-HC system is futile at best. Why are your presumptions based off of propagandized literature? Why is it that 50% of our taxes go to help provide socialized health-care to the Iraqis, while at the same time it looks like we're going to be mandated to purchase private health insurance?
Infant mortality is much lower in Canada and Europe than in the U.S. Outcomes with major illnesses, such as cancer and heart disease, are better than in the United States. Longevity is better in Canada and Europe than in the U.S.
THE current bill is not the answer ,,,does not address proper Tort Reform, "undocumented" access for expensive non-life threatening HC , & does not probide MOST IMPORTANTLY an OPT OUT Provision for those that believe it is still too bloated with waste & inefficiencies resulting in inflated premiums not in keeping with services provided.
....A mandate stuffed inside a trojan horse bill for HC is a skunk in the road...too stupid to debate...
You bring up Glenn Beck out of no where in an attempt to lure me into defending him, so you can bash me for his ideas. Then when that fails, you try more insults and character assassination.
How utterly typical. Liberals. Can't stand up on facts. Can't stand up on policy. Can't stand up on principle. Mudslinging, insults, misinformation, distraction and lying are your games. Pathetic.
How is that better? It is just an excuse to get more of a hold on controling our freedoms. Because by taxing other insurance companies the government will drive them out of business until we have only the government option left. No choice, no freedom.
It's obvious that I'm not gonna agree with either of you on policy and that's fine. I wouldn't be against a single payer option, it works well in every county that uses it in the world. It's the people claiming that she isn't fear mongering that I will always disagree with. When you compare reform to terrorism it's fear mongering. When you say reform means the government will euthenize seniors, it's fear mongering. No reasonable person would argue otherwise. All I want is honest debate.
I feel that this health care bill is like any insurance we already have just for the fact on p. 25 it states"If the Secretary estimates for any fiscal year that the aggregate amounts available for payment of expenses of the pool will be less than the amount of the expenses, the Secretary shall make adjustments as are necessary to eliminate such defict, including reducing benefits, increasing premiums, or establishing waiting lists."
I think you should listen to the video again. This time, instead of purposefully listening for something you can disagree with, I think you should pay attention to what she reads out of the bill itself.
Seriously, if your comment was your only thought after listening to this, then you weren't listening.
I do have some problems with the bill and wish some things would be changed, but that does not change the fact that claiming health care reform is a bigger threat to America than terrorism, or that the bill will cause seniors to be put to death by their government is fear mongering at its worst.
Virginia Foxx is my representative. Trust me, I know all about her and all the times that she had lied to Americans and misrepresented her constituents.
Seniors to be put to death? Well, that might be an exaggeration, but it is not fear mongering.
Within the text of the bill there are two new governmental bodies created. A research agency which will determine what medicines/procedures should be allowed for patience. And a committee that will decide if a patient should have a procedure based upon the research of the first.
Sorry. But I believe the only people who should decide what medical treatment I get is me and my doctor. Not a COMMITTEE
That isn't an exaggeration or fear monger. The text is right there in the bill.
Also, you are also aware that the bill makes it ILLEGAL for you to buy private insurance 1 year after the bill goes into effect. After which, you will be required by law to take the public option.
Why doesn't these things scare the living shit out of you, I don't know.
Telling seniors that you're putting them to death is fear mongering. Period.
It's funny you mention how much you trust your doctor with medical treatment, because polls show that doctors overwhelmingly support the healthcare reform that you so fear.
That's odd. There isn't a single poll I've seen that suggests ANYONE overwhelmingly supports the PUBLIC OPTION. As a matter of fact, most recent polls show then between 30-40%.
Yeah, that's overwhelming support. Lets talk factually here or don't bother.
Rasmussens recent poll: 57% support a public option.
Oct. 20 Washington Post: 57 percent of all Americans now favor a public insurance option, while 40 percent oppose it. Support has risen since mid-August, when a bare majority, 52 percent, said they favored it.
Oct 19 ABC News: But 57 percent support one of the plan's most contentious elements, a government-sponsored insurance option, and that soars to 76 percent if it's limited to those who can't get affordable private insurance.
A USA Today/Gallup poll released last week found 50 percent backed a public option and 46 percent opposed it,
CNN poll: 61 percent supported an insurance option administered by the government and 38 percent opposed.
Ipsos/McClatchy poll specifically asked respondents if they believed "it is necessary to create a public health insurance plan," 52 percent of respondents agreed
Nowhere in the bill does it say that the health care reform bill will seniors to be put to death by the government. That is fear mongering. There is no way that you can honestly tell me that you think that saying health care reform is a bigger threat to Americans than terrorism isn't fear mongering. That's also a flat out lie and everybody knows it. If you want to pretend that comparing health care reform to terrorism isn't fear mongering then I would say you are delusional or a liar.
The New England Journal of Medicine polled ONLY DOCTORS and showed that 73% of them support the public option, either solely or in tandem with private plans.
Okay, I did a little more research and found where you got your numbers. A few articles even admit it. If you take the "Public Option Only" group and ADD it to the "Public Option ONLY WITH Private Insurance" group, it will add up to 73%
Since they are two opposing groups, you can't legitimately add them together like that.
Additionally, if public approval has dropped from ~70% down to ~35% since Sept, what makes you think Doctor's wouldn't have dropped by the same amount?
Of course mcdonalsuny uses percentages from a h.c. reform question & tries to pass it off as being replies to questions on the public option. It's his usual way of trying to lie and distort.
Heh. Megarational. Nice try, but pretty pathetic. There are polls on the PUBLIC OPTION as recent as yesterday (Dec 12), and you are still using polls from Oct in answer to the ones I posted from Nov.
Interesting though, that the recent ones you posted were wrong. But either way. I don't care. Seriously, USA Today/Gallop shows is at 35% approval.
If you are going to continually lie, I don't care to converse with you. When ever you get some personal integrity, we'll try again.
I cited 6 polls, all showing majority support for the public option. Here's another, more recent: The latest poll conducted by Thomson Reuters Corp. shows that just under 60 percent of those surveyed said, they would like a public option to be included in health care reform legislation. I can't find any USA today/Gallop poll showing 35% approval for the public option. Post the link or admit it's yet another of your lies.
You simply followed your usual lying sleezy tactic of using responses to some question other than a direct question about the public option and trying to pass it off as the poll results for the public option. You never change. You were a lying sleezeball when I first encountered your distortions in another ling, and you are still the same lying sleezeball.
Okay. You are one of THOSE. Now I'm sorry I got involved. "your usual ... never change ... first encountered... still the same".
What ever man. This is the first time I've responded to you or any video you've been on. Typical liberal. Can't stand up on facts so you try character assassination. Haha.
Well, have a nice sad little pathetic liberal life, I have little patience in dealing with people like you. Wow, this is several minutes of my life I wont get back.
Actually, I was answering several comments one after the other, & assumed from your tactic of attributing to the public option the poll results from a question other than a public option question that you were someone else who regularly uses that lying tactic. In your case I'll assume it was just an honest mistake, unless I see you using the same tactic again.
You are one of the most bald-faced liars on U-tube. The words "personal integrity" should curdle in your mouth. One big example: you consistently lie about poll results on every thread you pollute.
STFU with your damn republican/democrat jargon. Finger pointin gets us no where and people like you just feed the beast. If we could debate the facts and not go with the middle school he did she did crap we might not be so far in debt as a country. But yea, let's hang on the past and bring up irrelevant facts on youtube so maybe, just maybe someone will think we're smart, no?
This video isnt about Obama, its about Republican fearmongering tactics. This bill isnt going to bomb the WTC, its not going to walk in to work and murder unsuspecting co-workers. It's not going to set up ambushes and roadside bombs to kill US troops. Stupid bitch.
Thanks iliketv! With all the thought provoking discussion going on, your insightful comment is so refreshing! I'm not sure if anyone could of come to that (opininated) conclusion without your expert assistance!
......at least he is very familiar w/ the constitution....Palin thinks it gives her the right to hunt defensless wolves from airplanes!
Palin's education was much better too I'm sure. jumping from community college to community college. Do you actually believe she has a shot at the presidency ?
Before Obama got elected, no I wouldn't have thought Palin had a shot.
But since a Jr. Senator who never authored a bill, never managed anything, managed to win an election on "We need a change" and ZERO information beyond that ....
Sure, I think she has a shot.
It's actually kinda funny. Obama had zero accomplishments in his life before his presidency (2 minor bills with no real effect, in 7 years), so why are people surprised that he hasn't accomplished anything during the prez?
I'm not saying I don't have criticisms as well.......I believe he is engaged and working hard, and that is refreshing. And now MSNBC is holding his feet to the fire and pushing him to make good on his promises This is why MSNBC and Foxnews are so different. Fox was helping Bush push his agenda, while they are now trying to destroy Obama's. Fox was not critical of Bush at all. Give MSNBC credit for holding Obama accountable............
I don't give any United States media outlet credit, including Fox. Every single one of them has demonstarted partisanship to one degree or another. Including: only telling one side of the story, telling half-truths, and in some cases, flat out lies and propaganda. They are all crap.
@publiknme Obama is destroying himself by the degenerates he has surrounded himself with and organizations he has belonged to. MSNBC is a liberal propaganda machine which edits footage to fit the story not truth they want to tell.
Lying puke? I should say, learn how to read. He might have authored 152 bills, but how many passed? Two. Only two. So yeah, tell me again how I lied? Idiot
Average liberal bullshit, taking things out of context. What was in the next lines of the exact same post as that quote is from? Let me copy and paste it.
"Obama had zero accomplishments in his life before his presidency (2 minor bills with no real effect, in 7 years)"
Hmmm, lets see, I clearly cite the 2 minor bills which he authored that successfully became law.
Here's the whole para. from your comment: "But since a Jr. Senator WHO NEVER AUTHORED A BILL , never managed anything, managed to win an election on 'We need a change' and ZERO information beyond that ." Again, Obama Obama in his1st yr. in Senate authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. Fist you lie, then you lie about what you said. Next paragraph you mention 2 bills he authored that passed, but somehow by intention didn't mention the bills he co-authored that became law.
Here's a hint. If you are going to try to quote someone, especially if you are accusing them of lying, and then assert that they can't even read their own statements ....
.... I suggest you actually read what you are accusing them of not reading. Or else you will embarrass yourself by providing incomplete, and thus inaccurate, quotes.
BTW, happy thanksgiving! I wish you and yours a great holiday.
Here's yet another eg. of your lies & distortions from that same comment of yours: Obama "managed to win an election on "We need a change" and ZERO information beyond that .." Don't you think anyone will remember that the info. beyond that was his vision of: a) health care reform, b) reducing dependence on foreign oil, and c) creation of jobs by funding to ensure America becomes a leader in 'green" technologies, to name but a few. You have a great holiday too, go to church, & review the 9th.
maybe he wan't a professor, senior lecturer. Whatever. I would love to see some Palin/Obama debates on 2012. Do you remember Palin's debate w/Biden. Was she muzzled for the debate, cause she told the moderator she wasn't going to answer the questions given ? I guess her range of topics is extremely limited......Palin is the best thing that ever happened to the Dems........next to Limbaugh
You illustrate my point exactly - under current practice, it makes no sense to shop around. But...what if everyone paid out of pocket and people were spending their own money. Tell me that they would be running to the doctor for every sniffle. Also, the red tape would disappear, lowering costs dramatically for the doctor's office. Those savings get passed on. Maybe you weren't around 25 years ago, but I remember having to pay to go to the doctor. Believe me, shopping around was no myth.
Obama is like an athlete. He's been training for the presidency his whole life. Growing up around the world. Top education. Community service. Legal backround. Constitutional Professor. US Senator for 7 years. ....you compare this to being mayor of a tiny town and then quitting governor 2/3 thru her term.....her revenue increased due to the price of oil rocketing. Nothing she did. The Repubs don't need another Michelle Bachmann.....and check your drop out stats for Alaska, they are way off...
That is so laughable it isn't even funny. Once again with the spewing of flat out lies. None of Obama's previous positions required "governorship" of anything.
Obama was never a professor, much less a Constitutional Professor.
BTW, check my drop out states? How about the United States Department of Education website? They actually cite 7.5% total, 8% for Native Americans.
It's time to get real man. I'm getting very tired of proving EVERY SINGLE one of your points wrong.
I mean seriously, how can you be wrong about EVERYTHING and still think you are a valid participant in this discussion? Time to admit defeat, take a good honest look at your ignorance, analyse, learn, become a better person for it and move on.
I'm sorry to say, you are simply out classed here mate. At the very least, you should take half a second to do research before typing a reply
Okay publiknme. I ask again, are you just sadly misinformed about everything or are you a habitual liar?
Under Palin, state budget reduce, revenues doubled. Alaska's drop out rate, at it's highest, was 8%. Alaska's teen pregrnancy rate dropped declined by 34% between 92 and 01, but Liberal media (like the Huffington Post, your source I assume) still used the 1991 figure.
Alaska under Paling was a greater than average recipient of earmarks. It was also an oil rich state. Palin would take credit for the vast oil reserves too, if she believed the earth was more than 5000 years old.

i live in Virginia Foxxs district and me personally im for the health care bill because if america would have been fighting the illegal aliens and kicking them out or showing them how to become a citizen of this country the health care sytem wouldnt be broken because illegals go from one hospital to the other without paying the bill. also americans are doing the same thing because they cant afford health care or insurance companies wont take them on pre existing conditions

how much is spent per month on private insurance each month? have you looked at you check stubs lately? do the math. what you put in - plus what your company puts in - times 50 million people just like you equals how much? the people working at insurance companies know a good thing when they see it

The fight has just begun!
thegreenieye 1 year ago
hey greenie, I'm sorry that you've been misinformed but this bill is not a government takeover. This bill regulates the private insurance companies in so many ways that is beneficial to all Americans. Including you! Think of it more as a Consumer Protection bill protecting us from the Health Insurance companies that would one day deny coverage to you greenie had this bill not existed. And what are you fighting against, did you know this bill is not too different from the republicans position?
spacecowboy98 1 year ago
@spacecowboy98 OK Cowboy, fair is fair..sorry about the remark about your daughter. I'm also the proud parent of two beautiful daughters, but I still disagree with this bill. Its not that this nation does not need health reform, that should have been taken care of many years ago. I just don't like THIS health reform and what has been sandwiched in it. The way in which the bill was passed was a disgrace and is going to come back and bite America in the rear.
thegreenieye 1 year ago
@thegreenieye And what puzzles me is that this bill pretty much mirrors the health care bill that Mitt Romney passed when he was govenor of Massachusetts. Something smells fishy! When David Frum wrote that critique of the GOP's failure for handling Health Care Reform, that was the first time I was aware that the healthcare bill and Republicans idea of a health care bill were very similar in intent. This bill will save American lives! Is that not important to you and the Republican party?

And this will finally end the spiraling costs due to Health Insurance co's arbitrarily raising their premiums for "profit"!

they cure nothing. the FDA is 35% of why medical costs you so must. the rest is fraudulent or excessive malpractice lawsuits. if everyone is forced to buy health care you only give the insurance the power of higher rates.

Both of my daughters are much too independent to depend on to their parents. Sorry I cannot accept your "old maid" stance.
spacecowboy98 1 year ago
The Health Care Reform Bill is a tremendous victory for the American People. My daughter will now be able to receive health care on our family plan until she is 26 year old extending her coverage 3 more years. Pre-existing condition will not apply as she gets coverage under a new plan when she leaves our plan. 32 million americans will now be able to receive affordable health care coverage.

All I want is honest debate.
bdbaseball17 2 years ago
I feel that this health care bill is like any insurance we already have just for the fact on p. 25 it states"If the Secretary estimates for any fiscal year that the aggregate amounts available for payment of expenses of the pool will be less than the amount of the expenses, the Secretary shall make adjustments as are necessary to eliminate such defict, including reducing benefits, increasing premiums, or establishing waiting lists."
quitspendingmymoney 2 years ago
It's funny how she (Foxx) quotes directly from the bill authored by Democrats ... and Democrats try to dismiss her as "fear mongering".
If one quotes directly from the legislation, and that quote instills fear, then how is that "fear mongering"?
I think it's more "whistle blowing" than "fear mongering"
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Claiming that healthcare reform is more dangerous than any terrorist is fear mongering, to pretend any different is absurd and dishonest.
bdbaseball17 2 years ago
I think you should listen to the video again. This time, instead of purposefully listening for something you can disagree with, I think you should pay attention to what she reads out of the bill itself.
Seriously, if your comment was your only thought after listening to this, then you weren't listening.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
I do have some problems with the bill and wish some things would be changed, but that does not change the fact that claiming health care reform is a bigger threat to America than terrorism, or that the bill will cause seniors to be put to death by their government is fear mongering at its worst.
Virginia Foxx is my representative. Trust me, I know all about her and all the times that she had lied to Americans and misrepresented her constituents.
bdbaseball17 2 years ago
Seniors to be put to death? Well, that might be an exaggeration, but it is not fear mongering.
Within the text of the bill there are two new governmental bodies created. A research agency which will determine what medicines/procedures should be allowed for patience. And a committee that will decide if a patient should have a procedure based upon the research of the first.
Sorry. But I believe the only people who should decide what medical treatment I get is me and my doctor. Not a COMMITTEE
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
That isn't an exaggeration or fear monger. The text is right there in the bill.
Also, you are also aware that the bill makes it ILLEGAL for you to buy private insurance 1 year after the bill goes into effect. After which, you will be required by law to take the public option.
Why doesn't these things scare the living shit out of you, I don't know.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Telling seniors that you're putting them to death is fear mongering. Period.
It's funny you mention how much you trust your doctor with medical treatment, because polls show that doctors overwhelmingly support the healthcare reform that you so fear.
bdbaseball17 2 years ago
Yeah. Uhm..
I suggest you actually read the bill. Or at least the sections that she's quoting. It isn't fear mongering if ITS TRUE. PERIOD
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
That's odd. There isn't a single poll I've seen that suggests ANYONE overwhelmingly supports the PUBLIC OPTION. As a matter of fact, most recent polls show then between 30-40%.
Yeah, that's overwhelming support. Lets talk factually here or don't bother.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Rasmussens recent poll: 57% support a public option.
Oct. 20 Washington Post: 57 percent of all Americans now favor a public insurance option, while 40 percent oppose it. Support has risen since mid-August, when a bare majority, 52 percent, said they favored it.
Oct 19 ABC News: But 57 percent support one of the plan's most contentious elements, a government-sponsored insurance option, and that soars to 76 percent if it's limited to those who can't get affordable private insurance.
megarational 2 years ago
A USA Today/Gallup poll released last week found 50 percent backed a public option and 46 percent opposed it,
CNN poll: 61 percent supported an insurance option administered by the government and 38 percent opposed.
Ipsos/McClatchy poll specifically asked respondents if they believed "it is necessary to create a public health insurance plan," 52 percent of respondents agreed
megarational 2 years ago
Gallup: (Nov 23): 39%
Rassmussen (Nov 23): 38%
Foxnews (Nov 20): 35%
NYTimes (Nov 24): 33%
Washington Post (Nov 17): 30%
AP (Nov 16): 41%
Here are the facts. Verifiable, look them up. Doctors support the public option... you, dear sir, are delusional.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Nowhere in the bill does it say that the health care reform bill will seniors to be put to death by the government. That is fear mongering. There is no way that you can honestly tell me that you think that saying health care reform is a bigger threat to Americans than terrorism isn't fear mongering. That's also a flat out lie and everybody knows it. If you want to pretend that comparing health care reform to terrorism isn't fear mongering then I would say you are delusional or a liar.
bdbaseball17 2 years ago
The New England Journal of Medicine polled ONLY DOCTORS and showed that 73% of them support the public option, either solely or in tandem with private plans.
bdbaseball17 2 years ago
Uhm. Quoted directly from the New England Journal of Medicine, Sept 14, 2009 "Doctors on Coverage" article.
"Although polls have shown that 52 to 69% of Americans support such an option, the views of physicians are unclear."
Firstly, I'll like to point out that public approval has dropped considerably since the publishing of his article, so why wouldn't doctor's?
Also, only 9.6% of DRs support the public option solely.
Is there anything that you say that is truthful?
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Okay, I did a little more research and found where you got your numbers. A few articles even admit it. If you take the "Public Option Only" group and ADD it to the "Public Option ONLY WITH Private Insurance" group, it will add up to 73%
Since they are two opposing groups, you can't legitimately add them together like that.
Additionally, if public approval has dropped from ~70% down to ~35% since Sept, what makes you think Doctor's wouldn't have dropped by the same amount?
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Here is some other factor's of that same survey (not poll). The survey was sent out to 6,000 Doctors. Of that, 2,130 of the surveys were return.
Even the NEJM cites that 2k is not an adequate number by which to project "Overall Opinion".
So. Inaccurate, Out of Date, and Disingenuous (by adding two out of three survey groups together) makes your argument perfectly invalid.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Of course mcdonalsuny uses percentages from a h.c. reform question & tries to pass it off as being replies to questions on the public option. It's his usual way of trying to lie and distort.
megarational 2 years ago
When ever you get some personal integrity, we'll try again.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
I cited 6 polls, all showing majority support for the public option. Here's another, more recent: The latest poll conducted by Thomson Reuters Corp. shows that just under 60 percent of those surveyed said, they would like a public option to be included in health care reform legislation. I can't find any USA today/Gallop poll showing 35% approval for the public option. Post the link or admit it's yet another of your lies.
megarational 2 years ago
I don't usually get involved in fights between two other people, but I can't help myself on this one.
Mega, you are flat wrong. You are so wrong I think you either getting the YEAR wrong or you are marking it up. You are that far off.
here is a link for you: pollingreport(.)com(/)health(.)htm
And yes, USA Today AND Gallups most recent poll show 35%, not 60%. What? Did you take USA Today and ADD it to Gallup to get 60%?
ThrullseekR 2 years ago
As usual you lying bitch, your "link" does not support your lie about the majority not supporting the public option.
Here's your "link" poll results for the public option: CBS News/N.Y.York Times. Favor 46% Oppose 45% Bloomberg Favor 53% Oppose 46 % CNN/Opinion Research Favor 53% Oppose 46% USA/Gallup Favor 52% oppose 36% CBS FOX News favor 61% oppose 28%CNN/Opinion Research
ABC News/Washington Post Poll. Nov. 12-15 Support 53% Oppose 43%
megarational 2 years ago
You simply followed your usual lying sleezy tactic of using responses to some question other than a direct question about the public option and trying to pass it off as the poll results for the public option. You never change. You were a lying sleezeball when I first encountered your distortions in another ling, and you are still the same lying sleezeball.
megarational 2 years ago
ThrullseekR 2 years ago
Actually, I was answering several comments one after the other, & assumed from your tactic of attributing to the public option the poll results from a question other than a public option question that you were someone else who regularly uses that lying tactic. In your case I'll assume it was just an honest mistake, unless I see you using the same tactic again.
megarational 2 years ago
Not to mention. Haven't you bothered keeping up with the news? Discussing the public option is kinda ..... pointless at this point.
They can't get the votes with the public option. The Democrats are considering dropping the public option all together. Heh
Kinda strange that if it has such overwhelming support, that it's being dropped. Heh.
Try to keep up, will you?
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
You are one of the most bald-faced liars on U-tube. The words "personal integrity" should curdle in your mouth. One big example: you consistently lie about poll results on every thread you pollute.

This video isnt about Obama, its about Republican fearmongering tactics. This bill isnt going to bomb the WTC, its not going to walk in to work and murder unsuspecting co-workers. It's not going to set up ambushes and roadside bombs to kill US troops. Stupid bitch.

......at least he is very familiar w/ the constitution....Palin thinks it gives her the right to hunt defensless wolves from airplanes!
Palin's education was much better too I'm sure. jumping from community college to community college. Do you actually believe she has a shot at the presidency ?
publiknme 2 years ago
Before Obama got elected, no I wouldn't have thought Palin had a shot.
But since a Jr. Senator who never authored a bill, never managed anything, managed to win an election on "We need a change" and ZERO information beyond that ....
Sure, I think she has a shot.
It's actually kinda funny. Obama had zero accomplishments in his life before his presidency (2 minor bills with no real effect, in 7 years), so why are people surprised that he hasn't accomplished anything during the prez?
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
I'm not saying I don't have criticisms as well.......I believe he is engaged and working hard, and that is refreshing. And now MSNBC is holding his feet to the fire and pushing him to make good on his promises This is why MSNBC and Foxnews are so different. Fox was helping Bush push his agenda, while they are now trying to destroy Obama's. Fox was not critical of Bush at all. Give MSNBC credit for holding Obama accountable............
publiknme 2 years ago
I don't give any United States media outlet credit, including Fox. Every single one of them has demonstarted partisanship to one degree or another. Including: only telling one side of the story, telling half-truths, and in some cases, flat out lies and propaganda. They are all crap.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
@publiknme Obama is destroying himself by the degenerates he has surrounded himself with and organizations he has belonged to. MSNBC is a liberal propaganda machine which edits footage to fit the story not truth they want to tell.

You lying puke mcdonalsunny:
Obama in his1st yr. in Senate authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These included:
1. Coburn-Obama Gov.t Transparency Act of 2006 - became law,
2. Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, - became law,
3. Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate,
4. 2007 Government Ethics Bill, became law,
5. Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, In committee, and many more.
megarational 2 years ago
Lying puke? I should say, learn how to read. He might have authored 152 bills, but how many passed? Two. Only two. So yeah, tell me again how I lied? Idiot
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Again you lie.
The cut & paste from your previous comment is Obama is a "J r. Senator who never AUTHORED a bill". Can't you even read your own bullshit correctly?
megarational 2 years ago
Average liberal bullshit, taking things out of context. What was in the next lines of the exact same post as that quote is from? Let me copy and paste it.
"Obama had zero accomplishments in his life before his presidency (2 minor bills with no real effect, in 7 years)"
Hmmm, lets see, I clearly cite the 2 minor bills which he authored that successfully became law.
So yeah. Go fuck yourself idiot.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Here's the whole para. from your comment: "But since a Jr. Senator WHO NEVER AUTHORED A BILL , never managed anything, managed to win an election on 'We need a change' and ZERO information beyond that ." Again, Obama Obama in his1st yr. in Senate authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. Fist you lie, then you lie about what you said. Next paragraph you mention 2 bills he authored that passed, but somehow by intention didn't mention the bills he co-authored that became law.
megarational 2 years ago
Here's a hint. If you are going to try to quote someone, especially if you are accusing them of lying, and then assert that they can't even read their own statements ....
.... I suggest you actually read what you are accusing them of not reading. Or else you will embarrass yourself by providing incomplete, and thus inaccurate, quotes.
BTW, happy thanksgiving! I wish you and yours a great holiday.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Here's yet another eg. of your lies & distortions from that same comment of yours: Obama "managed to win an election on "We need a change" and ZERO information beyond that .." Don't you think anyone will remember that the info. beyond that was his vision of: a) health care reform, b) reducing dependence on foreign oil, and c) creation of jobs by funding to ensure America becomes a leader in 'green" technologies, to name but a few. You have a great holiday too, go to church, & review the 9th.
megarational 2 years ago
Lets dispell all your distractionary rhetoric and take it back to the facts.
It should have been simple to realize that I was talking about accomplishments.
How many bills that became law? 2, only two.
So his life-long political accomplishments before his presidency has been 2. His accomplishments since his presidency. 0.
Not rhetoric, just fact.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
In all, since entering the State/U.S. Senate Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1096.
megarational 2 years ago
maybe he wan't a professor, senior lecturer. Whatever. I would love to see some Palin/Obama debates on 2012. Do you remember Palin's debate w/Biden. Was she muzzled for the debate, cause she told the moderator she wasn't going to answer the questions given ? I guess her range of topics is extremely limited......Palin is the best thing that ever happened to the Dems........next to Limbaugh
publiknme 2 years ago
You illustrate my point exactly - under current practice, it makes no sense to shop around. But...what if everyone paid out of pocket and people were spending their own money. Tell me that they would be running to the doctor for every sniffle. Also, the red tape would disappear, lowering costs dramatically for the doctor's office. Those savings get passed on. Maybe you weren't around 25 years ago, but I remember having to pay to go to the doctor. Believe me, shopping around was no myth.

Meg-Irrational - like the Energizer Bunny - keeps going and going, but always with no purpose. Nothing you have said even makes sense!

The Repubs don't need another Michelle Bachmann.....and check your drop out stats for Alaska, they are way off...
publiknme 2 years ago
That is so laughable it isn't even funny. Once again with the spewing of flat out lies. None of Obama's previous positions required "governorship" of anything.
Obama was never a professor, much less a Constitutional Professor.
BTW, check my drop out states? How about the United States Department of Education website? They actually cite 7.5% total, 8% for Native Americans.
So I think you should check your stats

Publiknme
It's time to get real man. I'm getting very tired of proving EVERY SINGLE one of your points wrong.
I mean seriously, how can you be wrong about EVERYTHING and still think you are a valid participant in this discussion? Time to admit defeat, take a good honest look at your ignorance, analyse, learn, become a better person for it and move on.
I'm sorry to say, you are simply out classed here mate. At the very least, you should take half a second to do research before typing a reply
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Come on.....they were so afraid she would say something stupid.
publiknme 2 years ago
Okay publiknme. I ask again, are you just sadly misinformed about everything or are you a habitual liar?
Under Palin, state budget reduce, revenues doubled. Alaska's drop out rate, at it's highest, was 8%. Alaska's teen pregrnancy rate dropped declined by 34% between 92 and 01, but Liberal media (like the Huffington Post, your source I assume) still used the 1991 figure.
mcdonalsuny 2 years ago
Alaska under Paling was a greater than average recipient of earmarks. It was also an oil rich state. Palin would take credit for the vast oil reserves too, if she believed the earth was more than 5000 years old.
