There's a red light camera in Redmond WA that used to flash when no one was doing anything wrong. I've seen it triggered when the intersection was empty. Maybe they fixed it finally, I don't know. But it was ridiculous seeing that flash and realizing nothing was going on. Your tax dollars at work!

here is the way somebody fixed the camera problem in washington. lighter fluid and a match poof cameras were going up all over for a couple months. we dont have camera problems anywhere any more there just too damn expensive to roast marsh mellows with. this seems to work on all cameras private cameras as well and i would think a super soaker could reach most all of them. just sayin.

Just wondering, if all that the picture shows is your license plate, then how can they prove that YOU were the one driving....yes it was YOUR vehicle, but unless they can prove YOU are driving how can they issue you a ticket?

The got a RADAR in one particular place and then the police install another one (like......2 miles away for exemple)...What the radar do is calculate the time between the 2 radars and therefore they know your average speed........and they will fine you if the average is....you know? too high........Shi*** I hope you understand my english.. $100 ?, In my city its $443 for the red light ticket and the straight yellow is 3 seconds left turn yellow is 2 seconds. I parked and counted many vechiles caught in intersection during slow traffic and didnt make through. Ok to enter on a yellow but is the camera working properly?

uhhh, but when they send you your bail in the mail, you have the right to go to court. While at trial, you have the RIGHT to face the person bringing these charges toward you. They don't care about the crime they just want your money. Most times when you are speeding cops never file the paperwork. They want you to go in and pay it or set a court date and they put it in the computer off your copy!

That is why I always try and set a court date or show up on my date and tell them I lost my ticket but put the date for court in my phone so I knew I had to be there. There is nothing they can do you showed up and don't have anything to use against you!

LOLOL.... i had one ticket issued to me for "speeding" in my area here in Portland. i not only do not own a car (haven't for 9 years), but i walk everywhere i go. that particular camera is no longer there. i have still not figured out how my name was in their system as a motor vehicle owner/operator. i don't even have a license anymore... gave it up 6ix years ago. after i asked them to look into the possibility that they might be wrong, by asking them to run my ID... they withdrew the ticket.

that camera on Chester is a double taker. It does both red lights and speed. The stupid thing would flash repeatedly sometimes while cars sit and wait for the light to change. It even flashes off when no cars are going down chester. Its always been a problem camera.
