Worst thing about this arc is the fact that if goku trained himself more in the hyperbolic time chamber instead of working on gohan goku would have been able to destroy cell easily.

And how did Goku get so damn powerful when the others could not (namely Vegeta)!? Because when Goku was in the hyperbolic time chamber he trained with Super Saiyan Gohan, unlike dumbass Vegeta who trained twice in the Time Chamber but all by HIMSELF when he could have trained with Super Saiyan Trunks (BIG mistake by Vegeta). Plus Goku survive his heart problem when he was near death which might have helped him raise his power, plus he trained really hard in the Time Chamber!!!

@Maloperverso Goku's just got a natural talent for fighting. He knows what moves to use and when to use them, and he knows how to train to get the most out of it. That and his power level just increases a lot more quickly and easily than someone like Vegeta. Gohan actually has greater raw potential than even Goku does (which is illustrated nowhere better than this story arc), but doesn't have the same fighting smarts.
