For all of you who don't exactly know what happened at the end to Shadow, i think i figured it out. Shadow regreted what he had done in his life , so he was going to save everyone for the last time. He destroyed the Black Comet, but before the explosion, he teleported back to the Ark. He did this so he could redo his life. So he couldn't do anything bad again. (Figures it's abandoned) I hope i helped everyone understand. I'm about 99% sure about this.

@JackMProductions He went to the Ark to use the Eclipse Cannon on it. He Chaos Controlled himself to the Ark after chaos controlling the Black Comet back into space, so he could fire at it. He plugged in the 7 chaos emeralds and laid a massive blast to the Comet, obliterating it. Also, he loomed around the Ark to think about his past one more time, and see Maria and Gerald one last time. Hope that helped. 100% positive.

Here's how to unlock last story: Go through normal gameplay and play thru every option of story(pass thru every lvl of every branch, complete all possible lvls, and get all endings) it should unlock then. Hope this helps you out Turbohog.

No, he used Chaos Control to send the comet to the ARK and teleported himself to the Eclipse Cannon controls. Team Chaotix couldn't do it. Why? Because they had no idea what Shadow was going to do. Are they mind readers? No.

They're not blind, and they were on the ARK. However, here's something else - Shadow teleported the comet to the ARK. He didn't teleport himself to the same place as the comet, or Team Chaotix would've blown him and the comet up. It's logical that Shadow fired it. Also, have you played Sonic Adventure 2? That room that Team Chaotix was in was pretty far away from the Eclipse Cannon control room (it was a room in SA2). They couldn't have gotten to the cannon in time to blow up the comet.
