How to put a mp3 in fl studio

I followed this step by step but for some reason my mp3 isn't going into the channel settings-sampler. i also tried just dragging and dropping the mp3 into the playlist and still no luck. any ideas?

Haha FAIL. Did you know you can just click and drag to tracks?

Or you can just go to "computer" and find the Mp3 file and drag it right  in to the playlist from there.

hmmm when i get to the song it says "no files to view" or something like that. It says at the bottom mp3 is supported but they arent showing up.

or you could just open your documents on your comp and then go to fl studio and click and drag the song you want onto the track

what version are you using? I am using version 8 and while I am able to import the song into the play list, it is a solid bar, not like the white squiggly lines in your video. Why is that?
