  • I Like to walk into gun shops eating a half melted chocolate bar and touch all the shinny rifles. lol

  • Love it, but there are shotguns for under $500. Remington 870s and Mossberg 500s.

  • Amen brother God Bless You.

  • i walked in2 a gun store and sum guy told the guy at the counter...i want a call of duty gun...wat a idiot...

  • is your ak47 is fully or semi?

  • @gercekcommander semi and it runs good

  • Ha Ha..... Listen to what the man says about the Hi-Point!!! This is exactly what I did. I knew nothing about firearms about a year ago, went into a gun shop and purchased a Hi-Point .380. Since then I have done lots of reasearch and just traded that peice of shit in for a Springfield XDm .40 Compact. BTW i'm in love with!!!!!

  • In case you're an absolute novice, just let the gun store people know that you are, and ask politely if they can guide you at your first ever firearm purchase, they love guns, so if you're being honest, they'll tell you all there is that you need to know.

I agree with Pete though, too many fucking morons...lol!

"Yo! what's popping homey! lemme look at that "gat" right thurr maing! " Rofl!

  • i can not stand it when people call magazines "clips"... i'm nineteen years old and i have known the difference between the 2 for about five years.... stupid jackasses

and you turned me on to the government model 1911 .45 acp manufactured by Springfield Armory... sooooo... THX MAN!!! keep up the good work!

  • @antonina111 Where are you from?

  • sup man,i love 1911 handguns, but the one thing i don't like about the 1911's is that they come in 45's so please can u tell me why 1911's don't have 40 and 9mm or maybe u can make a video of it..love your videos..

  • @wildglock they do make 1911 style handguns in 9mm and 40..

  • Great video bud, I wish that you had to watch this video before you walked into a gun store.

  • "have to do 2 sessions, ... cause I'm a homo ..."

... had an epic chuckle :-D

Thanks for the introduction to gun talk.

  • Awesome video man. Very good info. It bugs the crap out of me when people say clips when referring to a magazine. Especially when they OWN GUNS!

  • Hey man, Whats the name of that Revolver?

  • could an sks be considered a clip :/?

  • @Xiia0Sn00pY A SKS is a rifle. Clips CAN be used in a SKS. Detachable magazines may also be used with mods to the rifle.

  • I deal with some really cool gun counter guys. sometimes i just go and hang out and talk guns. guess i found a good store. guns of boise, but then again we are in Idaho and EVERYBODY has guns here man.

  • 8:13 'this is for people that give a shit" LOL

  • Great Video Man I have been around firearms my entire life 1911's re my absolute favorite. Hence the screen name Mr. M1911A!45. I would agree I have been in many gun shop and come across the surfer due behavior extremely dangerous I agree,

  • The interesting thing about this video aside from it's quality is the fact that 30K watched part 1 and only 18K watched part? It's a testiment to the quality of this video making neophytes feel empowered to go forth and buy without looking stupid! It's also a testiment to the ones who AREe stupid and feel that they didn't need the additional instruction on part 2. SCARY! .

    GREAT post !

  • Great Video Bro! I applied the terminology you provied in the gun store. Looked like a super star..Thanks

  • sir, you are not a homo. you are what i like to call an awesome individual.

  • This is good shit. I was embarrassed by an instructor when I used the Hollywood term "clip" - You immediately stand out as an ass. Armory Channel's suggestions, way to present yourself, and terminology are great.

This isn't just a "gun" thing - it's a "professional" thing. Go ask a sailboat owner if he has any "rope" on his boat, and you'll get the same response. Be a professional, do the research. Thanks!

  • i didnt think i was very educated on guns untill i saw this video, i had no clue some people thought shotguns were rifles.. or other way around, or bullets and ammunition.. wow i didnt know people were that stupid

  • OMFG! Finally someone that gets it! 1st things 1st, I have been viewing videos on You Tube for a lonnnngggg time! I have never cared to leave any sort of remark ever until now. Short and sweet, your videos are great! They really key-in on the need to know things. I'm twenty-two, and live in Louisiana ( Geaux Tigers ). I recently purchased my 1st pistol. (SR9) I wanted the MMP, but money was a bit of an issue. Anyway thank you for the information, and please keep posting videos.

  • @countryboy425 andTo all you IDIOTS that say I have a clip I have 1000000 guns I have lots of clips. This Video is for NEW GUN OWNERS are you fucking blind???? And Im pretty sure for someones first gun they dont buy an M1 Grand with ""IE clip."" Get a fucking brain shit dink. Great work Armory Channel. Dont mind the idiots around U Tube. I found this great info on some Smart points.

  • My friend has over 30 guns and he did not know about "clips" I have never ever owned a gun until last month I bought a MOSIN NAGANT Rifle and found out that the Russian Army used Stripper Clips. I ordered them and I schooled my seasoned friend on "Stripper Clips"

  • I always referred to a magazine as something in a fixed position, like a 5 rd shotgun tube, or a bolt action rifles

ammo compartment, and is not removable, and a removable magazine, like a 20 or 30 rd in a AR15, is called a clip, because it clips into the weapons slot or magazine compartment.. Who cares what you call it anyway,

people know what you mean. Besides clip sounds better than removable magazine.

  • Amen

  • thanks alot for this video when i turn 18 and buy my first fire arm i won't sound like an idiot, i kinda already knew all this stuff from watching videos and doing research but now i know why people say the gun shop guys are a holes and i think i will make a good impression now thank you

  • you say you will never see a clup i have a clip for my yugo sks

  • I use clips for my M1 and they sell them at the gun store I go to. Lots of people are interested in those types of rifles. Chances are not never.

  • @mrrobotica He's talking to the people for who the video is made. That is, people who want to know how to get into guns, where to start, what to know before annoying gun store staff by not knowing much of anything about guns. The chances of that person seeing a clip are almost none. You are a more invested, experienced enthusiast, he's not talking to you in this video, it is for beginners.

  • theres like a whole other $250 between $250 and $500! taurus makes an awesome weapon i would stake my life on! i however carry a glock 21 or a sub s&w m&p 40 for everyday carry depending on where i go?but i have a taurus 24/7pro in .45 that is just as reliable & it only cost me right under $500. kimber is way too pricey for me,and sig too! now id love to have either or well both but i spend most of my money on rifles now!! but i wouldnt use a highpoint if i was getting raped and i could reach 1!

  • lol so true & if u are buying ur first gun & u are walking into a family owned gun store u are gonna want to do ur homework.

  • Thanks for the info. I never would have walked into a gunshop and said "Wassup dude!" haha. Ill remember never to call a magazine a "clip", I hope!

  • you know you're definitely correct about doin your homework before you buy a gun...I was actually thanked by one of the guys behind the counter for researching what I wanted. However, there are also the dickheads who ALWAYS try to "up-sell" me and refuse to listen to what I want! Fuckers

  • Man, i love your videos. you make me laught like hell. plus they are informative. i'd like to drink a beer with ya sometime.

  • Hi Point= murder weapon

  • especially in cali there like that but where i go its like talkin to a friend hes cool and he'll answr all q's

  • dude i love your channel! i try to watch all your videos. but i got 2 things to say. #1 being that i really dont like what u sayed about the whole "yo man" an "o man look at this" i love guns, an they get me excited. now im not new to this at all. i just get excited at cool new guns.an #2 your 1911 is sick! i have a kimber too! amazing! but the tactical rail on the 1911 it totaly worth it! thats the gun i carry every day! keep up with the videos! i love them!

  • Shit one time a group off black guys around 17 came in the pawn shop there was a tactical 870 and they went OOOOHHHHHHH SHIT LOOK AT THAT MACHINE GUN WHOOOOOOOOOOO LOOK AT DAT SHIT such dumbasses.

  • what you were talking about i beleav is called a striper clip that go's on the m1 anywase i like you vids bro that rad keep makeing um

  • yo the first time i bout a gun i was not jumpy i was nervous

  • man this guy is great!.

'im not allowed to do more than 10 minutes long cause im just a homo."

    thanks for the tips gunny

  • dude, those shades are bad ass!, where did u get them and how much? always like to watch the old vids for entertainment!

  • When I got my first handgun last week there was a guy next to me looking at some revolvers and he insisted on the dealer loading it up so he could feel the loaded weight. The dealer looked at him like he was fucking crazy and the dude ended up leaving. After they were talking shit about how much of an idiot he was... what a fucking idiot.

  • Your not a homo.

I already know most of what you said. It's nice to know that even though I don't have any real firearms experience, that I'm not a total noob. I suppose I should still research M1911s more. That type of handgun is the one that I have been admiring for the past year.

  • i know this is a old video. but i just wanted to say from the side of gun sales.

i have been working in gun sales for 10 years now and i love that you understand why sometimes we are not in the mood to deal with retards who know nothing but still try and talk like they do.

but on the other hand if someone walks into my shop and says "hey i am new to the gun world i dont know much about it and i would like to learn" i have no prob at taking my time and showing them diff types of firearms

  • Fuck you must be a homo....only allowed 10 min videos...Made laugh thanks. Im subbin brother.

  • Thanks a lot for making these videos man. I know a lot about guns, but I don't own any yet. So it's always good to learn a little more about how to get the best possible service in a shop when I go to buy a gun. I'm hoping to get a Springfield 1911 GI. Do you have any tips for me when I go to look for one? OH! By the way, I'm Canadian haha. Any advice would be great.

  • hey man, i got my glock 17 for $499 brand new in alabama

  • 8:12 "This is for people who give a shit." I've been laughing so hard, and it's so late. I just can't help it. I'll be watching this guy's video until the sun comes up.

  • i noticed you have an extendable stock on your shotgun. What's the purpose of that?

  • Wow one for every room in the house , I feel sorry for the robber already

  • I just bought my first gun - a .44 revolver. I was pretty much good on everything except I never knew the difference between a clip and magazine....although I never called a magazine a "clip"

  • Would you say the m1911 (replica - the model that's about 500 to 600) is more than sufficient to protect yourself with? Namely your house or something?

  • technically you could have a moon clip for that revolver but thats about the only time I wanna hear the word clip.

  • Actually, the 1911 was named after the year it got issued in the army.

  • I agree it's a good idea to do your homework before purchasing your first firearm, but even if you don't know or memorize everything in this video, it's important to go in and not act like you know things that you don't. Start off by asking the cashier simple questions that way he/she will see that you legitimately care about. Don't be arrogant. Tell them your experience with firearms, be honest! Tell them what you plan to use the firearm for. They'll be more than willing to help.

  • jajajajajajajajaja...magazine ..not fucking clip....love it

  • "Cuz I'm just a homo." LMFAO

  • By the way, nice films, you dont have the attitude of most people on youtube, these videos actually make sense to the average mofo of places like here in europe, its good to see a person whos every second word doesnt sound like "teeheehee"

  • Are you saying you shouldn't take precaution and looking into a car before you buy it? Because a gun is somehow more dangerous then a car?

You got to be kidding me. Way more deaths from cars then guns in the United States.

  • I hate when people say sniper instead of sniper rifle.. a sniper is the one who shoots the sniper rifle.

  • i tried out a 410 shotgun and dry fired it and the guy said not to do it. why? how else am i supposed to test the trigger pull?

  • how muck would a good ak-47 go for these days

  • did you say your 1911 is automatic?

  • cllliiiiip

    OK, I am kidding.

    nice video!

  • "If you're getting a Hi-Point pistol for $250, you're buying a piece of shit."

If you're buying a Hi-Point for more than $175, you're a dumbass to begin with and probably deserve to be ripped off. I wouldn't pay over $150 for a Hi-Point handgun, personally.

That said, plenty of decent handguns are out there for sub-$500. I purchased a NIB Springfield Armory XD40 for $449 at my local shop. Very good EDC piece and it has served me well.

  • I like your style bro, but your dead wrong about prices. Ruger p95 300 brand new in box. Not a sig or glock but excellent pistol. Ruger sr9 about 400.

  • being a part time gun counter guy, I would like to thank you for making this video. I have been thinking about this for the last week or so because of a recent rash of customer ignorance.

  • There's very good info in there for first time gun owners.

  • esp if your black

  • Lol! when you said glock nine that reminded of coworker who said he wanted a glock and added a nine to it. I was like glock 17?

  • i like clips!!

  • ruger sr9 under 400 easy, mossberg 500 under 260 easy (bought a combo long and short barrel under 300), cheap ak under 550, theres cheap real high quality firearms also, and sks's use a clip, or stripper clip.

  • when you were talking about you 1911 and glock, which are both nice by the way.You said Automatic, did you mean semi automatic or full automatic?

  • sorry i ment semi

  • @theARMORYchannel

    a mauser c96 got a clip and a fixed magazine :)

  • sorry man, you sound like a tool. if your new to firearms then tell the store owner- "I'm new to firearms and looking to get into it. I'm interested in.....". Just cause you know terminology isnt gonna save you from looking ignorant on a subject.

  • That's some pretty good advice so far.

  • i always thought the magazine was the clip. I always hear "banana clip" or "extended clip".

  • i got my brand new Springfield XD40 bitone for $527 and its the best my opinion. Also got a case (500 rds.) of Winchester Ranger Talons for cheap too, muhaha! GunBroker kicks ass.

  • can i buy that AK, if im 18?

  • @Dinku16 Yes any long gun

  • yes u can

  • You say it like it is, LOVVVVVVVVVVVVVE it !!!!! Great Video also, very informative.

  • XD 45 dont argue

  • This is my fav vid man. Walking into a gun shop for me was very intimitating and I had a so so experience my first time. Gun shop etiquette is very important.

  • I can honestly say that this video along with part 2 is one of your best videos Pete. So much info in them and they are just so helpful. Excellent work!

  • I WOULDD NEVVERRR FUCK WITH YOU! xD

  • good advice..im looking to buy a glock in a few months and this helps!

  • Something that annoys me is when people call revolvers pistols. Handgun is the broader term I prefer.

  • joke version of me getting into a gun store and buying a gun HEY BEOTCH SHOW ME SUM MUTHA******G GATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Real version i walk in say hi look around and find a cheap gun i want that i like and see if i can see a mag and put in the pistol or rifle and see how i like it and buy it or not

  • LOL, love to see the take it as it is advice! so true about seeing the morons in the gun shops, its even worse at places like cabellas, big 5 ect... to many fucking lookie loos! - thanks for the friend invite BTW.

  • A bullet is what comes out of a gun. A round is what you put in it. A bullet is a stand alone projectile. A round is a conglomerate of components...including the bullet...which makes up a round.

Any time you go to buy ammo you will never see an advertisement that says, "bullets sold here." It's ammunition!

I get a kick out of watching your crude , "lay it on the line" conversations...LOL! 5 stars bro!

  • hey brother I like the 1911 who makes that model.

  • @63IMPALAMAN that model is a Kimber cdp

  • Nice piece, but outta my price range. My next one is the Glock 21sf.

  • @63IMPALAMAN Who dosent make a 1911 now LOL

  • Thanks for the help. I own a 12ga shotgun now and I'm looking to purchase my first handgun sometime this week. That's how I found this video. I'm doing a lot of research.

  • So true man. I made the mistake of buying a ruger p95 9mm. Fucking thing has feed james and pop ups all the god damn time. The store pointed me to it and i was stupid.

I found a good store in reno called The Gun Trader and they are top notch guys. They got me into a xd 40 and zero issues.

Your also right about the cocky crap also. Only advised I would say is check around. Some of the smaller towns only have one or two dealers and you need to ask people how they are.

  • You are fuging funny.. i love 1911's; Kimbers are top of the line.BUT, THEY CAN BE PICKY ON BULLET CONFIGURATION. HOLLOW POINTS DON'T FEED AS WELL AS FULL METAL JACKET! So choose heavy weight bullets, less overpenetration past the target.

  • @Kettenpom23 - Hollowpoints are supposed to give more takedown power because the bullet expands. I'm more than sure you already know this. Me personally, when I carry, I put hollowpoints in it. If I'm on the range, I stick to the hardball ammo (fmj). I'm sure you've heard all the stores about overpenetration when the NYPD carried .45s.

But I agree, hollowpoints do not feed as well as FMJ. I have no idea as to why though. I usually use 230gr fmj in my 1911.

  • i use 15 round clips on my 12 gauge rifle...

    i broke 3 rules

  • @luisRRR69 Nah this is how you sound ignorant. "I use 15 bullet magazine clips on my shotty." lol

  • i believe that tantal is a carbine not a rifle.. not tryin to be a smart ass ;)

  • haha i greatly appreciate this video. considering i was laughing the whole time with your observations (mag versus clip, etc.), i think im prepared enough for my first firearm purchase...but that doesnt mean i wont be nervous :]

  • Very good video my friend, I couldn"t agree more.

  • Just to comment on Hi Point.. I was at my sister's house for Xmas she records that Steven Seagall lawman shit.. Anyways of course there were these stupid fucking (I don't wana be racist) but black guys who were packing heat and guess what they were ? Fucking Hi Points.. I thought it was funny.. This was in 2 different episodes.. I guess the stereotypes are true but honestly I have hear nothing but good things about Hi Points from actual Hi Point owners, so I know really knock em cuz I never had1

  • Okay, have to man up to some stupidity here ...

While I have never mistaken a "magazine" for a "clip" or the other way around ... I have done the whole bullet thing. I am better now but I still have to watch myself.

  • great video. the only time you should ever say "bullet" is if you are reloading ammuntion and you are actually buying the BULLET component. Otherwise, it is ammuntion

  • The only "clip" I have is for my SKS but I agree clip sounds fucking stupid when referring to a magazine as a clip... As you get to know guns more it becomes a pet peeve.

  • yeah i bet that 1911 was the most expensive. 1911s are very expensive... as long as you get one that is worth a shit. i shot an STI trojan and it made me sick. good vid for people learing their way around guns. im not new but found it to be entertaining anyways. do you keep all your firearms loaded?

  • did he call himself a homo??? funny shit

  • my friend calls magazines "clips." It drives me fuckin nuts.

  • hey pete wuts up.. ive been watching ur videos and i think they r great....im goin to put up some cool vids soon checkem out when i do.. by the way i think hi point is one of the best made guns ever.. ay better than a shity glock or a crapy sig..lol..NOT..

  • i dont want to offend you, but you do have a very high chance of "running into a clip" sks and garands take them and they are quite popular firearms

  • hey can you do a video on a baby eagle 9mm cause i just purches one and i love it but want ur thoughts...

  • i mean you were right on alot and im not tryna be a dick but guns are a big deal and can be either way with some people i own 9 ak variants and 4 ars when my friend saw them he had to play in the end guns were not like the movies and when it came down to it he lost alot of cash and didnt realize the two 22s i own startd that whole collection. If he had stopd and took the time to learn his experience cud have been differnt

  • Great Video. You pretty much explain exactly why I love guns so much. A lot of people just don't understand the craftsmanship that goes into some of these things. Yes, they are built to destroy and as such should be treated with respect, but most people don't buy guns just for that one reason. It's the craftsmanship. For example, a nice expensive watch: If I want the time I'll look at my cell phone, but I'll still buy the pocket watch because I appreciate the engineering that goes in them.

  • oh btw, after the gun class, i purchased a gun right then and there LOL. They had the one i wanted so i just bought it. Too bad i won't be able to take it home till the background check is done and all the bullshit that's required here in hawaii is done :(

  • nice jack daniels and guns lol love the shirt

  • Nice video Pete, it's great to see someone trying to help the younger or newer people to guns on the right track.

With so much bullshit up here on YouTube it's nice to see you doing a good job. Well done man.

  • this guys awesome.. im watching this and cleaning my guns and thinking hes exactly right. thats why i dont take some people with me to ranges and gun stores. make me look like a fool!

  • do they allow kids with parents inside gun stores????

  • yes

  • Great vid! I recommend you buy a

old Mauser, enfield, or Nagant for

your collection. They all take a clip

    and are fun to own.

  • :) but arnt there clips for pistles and rifles??? like all they did was slidethe ammo into the mag so i thought that was a clip as well i didnt know only guns with internall mags could take clips...hmm but my dad is in the nypd and his glocks mag hold like 25 rounds and when we go to the range we use this plastic thing that you put the round in between that and the mag then push it down and so on and so on (btw you put it on the top of the mag) but is that considered a clip too?or a speed loader

  • its not a clip it just helps loading the mag.

  • hmm :S im going to search what its called now....thanks for the vids i laugh alot watching you...BY FAR the best gun reviewing channel on youtube

  • Great video, I worked as a gun clerk for two years and everything you said was 100% accurate. A few things though.

1st where did you get those shades? They're fucking awesome.

2nd you can get a decent gun for under 500. Like FN's FNP line, and then there's the... ok you can get the FNP for under 500.

People do not buy a high point. I almost gave up pistol shooting because it was the first one I owned. It is the only pistol I have ever shot that I actually hated shooting.

  • Comment removed

  • "i'm not special like some of these other guys...i'm just a homo"

I'll be laughing my ass off all week now, THANKS!!!

  • lol!!!!! cool man you gotta laugh!!

  • haha this video is awsome. man , you take the words right out of my mouth, i always say how muc i hate idiots who use the wrong terms for guns and such.

  • DRIVES ME NUTS

  • You should rename this Vid to

    "Schooling the Newbies"

  • Every time I walk into my gun store theres always some jackass there saying clip or some shit like that. One time there was a black guy looking at some swedish bolt action rifle, he asked if it came with the "telescope" on it. It was pathetic. Nice video so far though man. People need to know this shit

  • There is no clip here!!

  • When I worked in a gun shop some guys took so long to decide on a gun I'm talking weeks. I bought houses faster than that. This video will also make people respect you more if you look like you know what you're looking at. Good video.

  • Hi-points are top shelf firearms,I Don't know what you'r talking about. Hi-points are better than Glocks and SIGS...not better than the SIGMA though =P lol jk.

    what about the shotgun/rifle combos? I seen .22/.410's =P

  • lol!!! DUDE please tell me u dont have a high point!! if u do use it for a door stop cause its far from a gun!!lol

  • Might get one because I heard they're better than SIGS and glocks combined lol

  • No, they are not. I had a friend that owned one in 9mm (8 shot capacity nowadays), it looks like a Star Trek phaser, sights are gay looking like Mr. Noodle off of Sesame Street colored it, and the finish is a sparked black like an effeminate emo painted it in therapy. Trust me on this Tony, I shot 300+ rounds through that thing, and you'd be better off with a Sig, Glock, xd. Believe me, you'll hug me for that later. I'll be expecting my hug soon lol.

  • I Don't know...I've read a bunch of good reviews on them and might get one or two

  • This is my opinion. I'd get the Sig or Glock first (they are better firearms all around, both ergonomically, reliability, capacity, and accuracy). Hi-points are good for the price, but I'd never say BETTER than either glock or Sig. The Hi-Point was pickier with ammo than my Glock or my friend's Sig 226. Not to mention if you search the net, there are articles somewhere about the polymer composition on the slide actually shattering. Point is IMO, get either the Glock or Sig first then the hipoint

  • yo whats up T!!!

  • What's going on? You still thinking about looking at an H&K?

  • waiting for some money to build up again.

  • a high point is the bottom of the barrel!! i guess its better than nothing? why would you want to buy the worst gun on the market? its like going to see the worst DOCTOR!!!

  • I love that analogy. Or better yet, it's like taking your significant other to eat Hot Pockets on Valentines day and saying that you're taking her out to eat. I love analogies too!!! lol. But, yeah, it's a good idea to save up some extra money to get something better, because if you are using that to defend yourself and I was the attacker, I'd die of laughter before dying of a gunshot wound from a hi-point.

  • I think the Jennings 22 is the bottom but the high point is sitting right on top of them.

  • Or, re-enacting scenes from Star Trek. In fact, there is a group at my range that ALL use Hi-Points for target practicing. I named their team jokingly "The Beam Team" and even called each of the members Kirk, Spock, Bones, McCoy. The store owners even call them that now lol. I just don't want Tony to make a mistake. The hi point is good...for the price. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I don't want Fabio to be disappointed, that's all.
