  • i got to this vid via your elitefts article. on the article you mention a common problem with fighters is tight calves due to constant plantar flexion. I have SERIOUSLY tight calves to the point where it's painful to walk around. It's ok during training after a little warming up, but walkin around at home is now a chore

Any advice/techniques to help this besides rolling around on a lax ball?

  • @zewski92 As long as we are sure it's just tight calves, I would foam roll/lax ball the heck out of them. You could probably work on the mobility of your ankle joint as well...Check out the ankle mobility video we recently posted for that. Hopefully, these things will help out. Good luck!

  • @takeaimfitness I'm almost positive the problem is my calves, because the problem has only recently come up after i stared mma training. The cause of the problem is actually all the jump roping we do ( i NEVER used to jump rope) I can only imagine this new activity is the reason my calves are so damn tight. I'll give that vid you mentioned a try. thanks for the reply! :)
