I grew up in Chicago and I remember this show. I live in Texas and no one down here has ever heard of this show Finally proof that I am not a crazy yankee!
Ah, no, it's not Casey Kasem, I don't know who it is but I think it's the same guy who did the announcing in the 1978 Hanna-Barbera TV movie Kiss Meets The Phantom ["Don't miss Kiss tonight, Kiss!"].
Is this the CBS intro? Very RARE! The syndicated version was different from this. But did not included the Clue Club's and Mystery Island's segment and the intro was like 30 seconds long.
The half-hour version only had The Robonic Stooges and Wonder Wheels and Ronnie Schell [the voice of Willie in Wonder Wheels] was the opening announcer.
When Skatebirds was cancelled in early 1978 The Robonic Stooges and Woofer And Wimper ran in its own half-hour show called The Three Robonic Stooges, the half-hour Skatebirds show first ran Sunday mornings on CBS in 1979.
This full version was unseen here in Brazil, and this serie named "Mysterious Island" also. They only presented the short version with the "Robonic Stooges" and "Wonder Wheels" segments.
Skatebirds! That show reminds me of "The Banana Splits" but more like the late 70's version of it dispite the fact that skateboards were popular back then and so is disco. XD.
Yeah! Don't forget the Intros especially the original Plastic Man broadcast on ABC. I believe you can find the Scooby's All Star Laff-aLympics intro here. Notice the "Retro Junk" logo on the bottom right.
Um, yeah, I already asked him, and among the great treasure trove of retrogoodies in his collection, The New Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape Show and The Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape/Mumbly Show ain't part of it, I'm afraid. :(
I hope The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour surfaces, however! ;-)

This CBS Saturday morning series from fall 1977,was pretty intresting-since it
was almost identical to Hanna-Barbera's "THE BANANA SPLITS" in 1968,but
unlike its predesesor, this format didn't have that particular charm! but the segment
MYSTERY ISLAND had one special chram-The Robot from "LOST IN SPACE",
painted and slightly re-designed-and more ironic, was The Robot's human co-star
Jonathan Harris-who was starring in Filmation's "SPACE ACADEMY"series, just
an hour before this show,on the same net!
