Human greed,power etc. had grounded people here on earth not the population of human life. Buildings takes time to build but just in day of earth-quake it will fall to the ground like nothing happened like the buildings was just a dream and human has the same system when they have reach the limit they can cost/make equal damage like the earth-quake have done. Just ask your self why there is still poor people in the world?

I recommend Jeff Sachs' 'Common Wealth.' To reduce human population, we need to take away incentives for Africans to have large families; Africa has by far the highest birth rates. The second major needed reform is to make the market reflect the true costs of destroying the environment.

Habitats, of course, are much more important than specific charismatic species.
