The first thing I would try is to go to Advanced and check to make sure that one of the options is "Turn off Home Sharing." If, instead, it says "Turn on Home Sharing" then click that.
If that doesn't work then go to Edit then Preferences. In the tabs at the top, click "sharing" and make sure that the boxes for "Look for shared Libraries" and "Share my Library on my local network" are checked. Click ok.
Another thing that could be the problem is that there are no other computers on your network that have itunes open and homesharing turned on. So you could try repeating the steps above on those computers. And make sure that all the computers have itunes open.

Sorry, you can only share with people that are on the same network as you are. So you could have like a friend come over and have to them connect to your wireless network and share with them. But remember you also have to connect to the same iTunes Account.
