  • WOW, well done!!

  • holy cow was that jeff on lead?

  • Beautiful!!!!!!

  • American brainwashing rally. :-)

  • @OfficialKaelenCanady it sounds like the gas house gang because it is the same arrangement. Done by the great Jim Clancy.

  • My God, is that Jeff singing lead??

  • Sounds like Gas house gang ! :/

  • @OfficialKaelenCanady not quite as good ;)

  • Somewhere Obama is standing with his hands on his crotch singing somthing other then the National Anthem...

  • I like Jeff on lead, but the current bass is really sharp.

  • Jeff used to be the Lead section leader of the Vocal Majority Chorus....now he's the Bass section leader. He's the man and has an incredible range

  • I thought Jeff Oxley was: 1. Out of the group, and 2. the bass when the group was originally formed.Very bass-y overall sound I wasn't used to when hearing it. Still a rock solid Acoustix sound.

  • @spaudrey Jeff left the group shortly before he began singing with Max Q. Yes, he was the bass of Acoustix when they formed and when they won the International Gold. At this particular event, Acoustix's lead Rick Middaugh was not able to attend, so Jeff, as a Dallas citizen, former Acoustix member, and master barbershopper, stepped in to sing the National Anthem with them.

  • Great work guys!!! All barbershoppers should be proud!

  • Love them all, but Jeff is amazing!

  • Yes!! God Bless America! Now THAT'S the way it should be sung!

  • Jeff Oxley is on the lead and I like it.

  • @abuckajaga Lol, he is on bass, his voice is so distinguishable. THE best barbershop bass ever!

  • @JustinMacCrew Sorry, Oxley is on lead... just watch at 1:13.

  • @davec727 He may be on lead but he is a bass and widely considered the best bass in the Barbershop Harmony Society.

  • @BHS2011able I've sung with him before, I know who he is. =P I think if you took a vote on best bass, it would be pretty close between him and Jim Henry, but we're splitting hairs here. I just had to correct the doofus who can't tell the difference between Oxley's "distinguishable" bass and Rutherford's.

  • @davec727 I'll give you that. I am actually with the Vocal Majority chorus, (which I am going to put out there he is now the musical director) and have heard his voice numerous times and there is no way to mistake it for someone else. And I gotta know who you are who has been lucky enough to sing with Jeff Oxley. I have been wanting to do that for a while now.

  • @BHS2011able You're in VM and you haven't sung with Ox? Don't you guys do tags after rehearsal? :)

I'm with the Ambassadors of Harmony. Jeff coached a retreat for us once. In fact, if you were in Philadelphia with VM in 2010 or in Anaheim in 2009, then you and I have sung on the same risers :)

  • @davec727 Nope. Im not sure he does the tags thing. and i have only been in or a year.

  • @BHS2011able I sing bass in a small chorus in Ohio. Being from the Buckey State and loving barbershop harmony are about the only things I have in common with Jeff, but I am a fan. He has amazing range for a bass. Sitting in and observing a VM rehearsal would be a fantastic experience. We need about 100 more guys to get anywhere close to that smooth sound they produce. I'm also a VM fan.

  • @abuckajaga Really? Because I don't :/

  • @stringX90 Really. I like the bass-voice-color on lead.
