  • I love your accent :)

  • @geminigrl95 lol thanks Geminigirl :D

  • I know this is off topic, but I love your accent :) and I came here because I was looking for a video example on how astigmatism affects a person's vision at night. It sucks so much when I have to drive and these blotches of light look blurred and stretched out. Yargh.

  • @WPHSBandGeek lol thanks :) and aye for me when I was younger, I found it difficult in a dark room, where my eyes would shake like crazy. It's a very fast shaking, although it looks nothing when I record it to video. The way I see things is like a very fast movement from side to side. For me personally, blurryness was never an issue, but when staring at smaller test, my eyes are always shaking slightly to gain focus, but someone staring at that could probably never see it. Hard to explain.

  • @WPHSBandGeek So am guessing you have Astigmatism yourself? Check the comment below :) In fact later I might put it into the info section, it's a way to try train the eyes better focus I think :)

  • i just got a my first pair of glasses today and i can see far again :)

  • @jeffdunhamfan001 I was seeing slight blurryness in the distance myself, having the glasses to use occasionally, even my prescribed sun glasses, it's a great feeling being able to see clear in distance :)

  • also check out David at iblindness ---org

He cured his strabismus and distant vision with Bates Method. Free Articles, training.

  • @ClarkClydeNight Thanks for all the info :) will definitely check into this in my free time :D

  • Free Natural Eyesight Improvement book to ya.

  • @ClarkClydeNight Thanks for your comment and video response, I'll be sure to check that out soon!

    Scott

  • @ScottMcK9 Are you the guy in the video? I had a slight similliar condition, caused by neck injury from a bad chiropractor. Bates method cures many forms of Strabismus. Often caused by strain in the mind, wearing glasses, trying too hard to keep eyes straight, left and right brain hemisphere imbalance from certain hobbies, stress... Can be cured. Go to my website for email address. Will send you all free books. More videos on Amazon.com Dr. Bates Page. Scrool down page of each book.

  • @janjohansen6 LOL they are just a pain to keep on cleaning, but at least the help to clear up my vision for things in the distance Is suppose :) suppose I only need to wear them occasionally :)

  • you look good with the glasses :) x

  • @29lisamh Thanks Lisa x :)

my last pair were a bit rectangular, prefer the rounder ovally shaped frames :)

  • @iloveweston18 Thanks, I suppose that much is true. I always just take it as it is. I suppose on a brighter note :) I ain't blind :)

  • when ur eye shakes like that its called nystagmis

  • @chrislovespillz Thanks for the name, I was told it was Stigma, perhaps shortened name. But yeah, it's one of those things I can't control when one eye is close, no matter how hard I try to focus, the funny thing is, when I close one eye and look through the side of my eye, it stops? :/ strange.

  • My twin brother and I have Astigmatism aswell (Uncorrected Hyperopic), mild form of dyslexia. But my brother has it worse than I do, poor mate. He can do the exact same thing as you! The one eye moving thing because of it :P he makes a "party trick" or novelty out of it lol :P don't let it get you down, no one likes to see an upset Scott lol :P lots of people are just as embarrassed when they have a difference :) but thats what make us human -3 :)

  • @ChloeCraven You're right about that, it has made me feel down sometimes, but only natural, but you're spot on, we're only human and no one's perfect. I had no idea you had Astigmatism though, quite surprised, most people I come across it makes it seem like it's so uncommon. As for the party trick lol I used to do that in school but of course, I'd never do that constant :)

  • @ScottMcK9 Its reliably annoying yet tolerable. My main problem is I can't see things from a distance, like, at all. And my eyes feel as though they are being pressurized whenever I look at small text. I was surprised at how common it is as well! :P Personally, I had no idea that you had an eye problem at all! :) I never would've noticed if you hadn't of pointed it out. :)

  • @ChloeCraven It's quite surprising to hear it's that common, because I would've thought the condition would've meant for them to have problems where their other eye would wander. I will say, I have always had that problem with my own eyes, especially with small text that I have to focus more as my eyes seem to shake, makes it more difficult to read. I mean from me reading anything on screen now, the text shakes slightly. Distance glasses is what I needed largely because a lot was blur.

  • Scott, to be honest, I've watched your videos and have NEVER NOTICED eyes wandering or anything like what you speak of. it's hard, but you don't need to be hard on yourself about this. Astigmatism is really common! I have astigmatism in both eyes too. Used to wear glasses but now wear contacts. My eyes don't shake when I cover them though. Mine developed through nearsidedness. It's actually because the curve of my eye/lens isn't perfectly round; so that causes some things to be blurry.

  • @knarisa Oh the blurry problems I only had when I had one eye closed, but it was never that, that sort of beat me down, but like sometimes my other eye would go out of place and perhaps more noticeable in some pictures. But yeah, I wouldn't doubt something like that being common, although when you look about you, it almost seems as though most peoples eyes are straight, perhaps that's what I've always envied :/ I know it's stupid, but, just one of those things.

  • You're gorgeous with or without the glasses, even if you do have rebellious eyeballs.

I can do the one eye straight, one eye crossed trick too.

  • @genesislover Thanks :) it at least gives me some form of confidence. Sort of trying to build my confidence so that when I record or look on video, that I don't care about my other eye moving :/ that's the tough part.

  • Glasses are instant intelligence, didn't they just release a study proving that? :)

  • @georgianeragrl lol instant intelligence? :D I would not know :) although they do look kinda funny on lol :D

  • have to agree with jaycymru, wouldn't have noticed if u didn't mention it. and don't worry about wearing glasses man, they look cool!

  • @gkoz791 I think it's great that most come back and say they haven't noticed a thing, cause in some videos I had noticed slight movement of the other eye, the reason I don't show it as much is I try to avoid the problem as much as possible, lack of confidence I suppose, and cheers! :)

  • Mate, to be honest, I would never have even noticed until you made this vid, and I don't usually miss a lot aye. One thing in nature, almost NOTHING is symetrical, not even features on the face.....

I'm partially deaf (deaf completely on one side due to burst eardrum which has reduced hearing to nothing), does it get me down, does it f...... lol

Look alright with glasses anyway, wear them if they improve life ;)

Got to admit tho mate, doing that with your eyes, makes mine water :D

  • @jaycymru lol the 'does it f....' made me laugh lol yeah you're right in that sense :) and that thing with my eyes lol there's no way I'd be constantly doing that, I don't know if it's an old wife's tale or what, but if your eyes stay like that if you do it too often, it's not something I'd particularly want to happen lol I wouldn't want to be walking into lamp posts lol

  • honest scott, u look just fine with the glasses. so is there nothing they can do for the stigma? do u get headaches? i wear glasses and contacts 24/7. you are 100% correct, you could be born with far worse problems,, u have the correct and positive attitude.

  • @mettanc Doctors have never really done much to be honest, but said if I had any serious problems I could go back and see them, that was when I was a wee boy though when that was said. And of course, there are people out there with far worse than myself, it's how I gain some confidence. Can't help but feel gutted though that with other folk, they don't need to worry about how to look into a camera lol sounds silly I know, but ach well, what can I do? As for headaches...

  • @mettanc I've occasionally had like once every so often, a throbbing eye ache, but that's not too common, only a few times and when I've had that, it's been a throbbing pain.

  • @iloveweston18 lol God knows how many times I've told myself lassies are put off by me because of it... saying that, it's only natural, it's like I envy people who have straight eyes. yet what I have never understood is how people always compliment my eyes, don't know whether that's people just being nice or not. But aye I could be far worse I suppose...

  • and that eye trick is hilarious, I can do that too!

  • @downthestreetteam lol do you have eye stigma? :) I can't prevent my eyes from doing that, they naturally shake. Doesn't matter how hard I try to stop it from shaking, it just can't.

  • @ScottMcK9 haha no I don't have eye stigma, I'm just really weird and can do random stuff with my body lol. i sent a video response to you.

  • get some round ones, you'd look like john lennon lol

  • @downthestreetteam lol that would be quite funny, although that reminds me. My sun glasses with the same lenses are being ordered and made up within the next few days, so I've to collect them soon, looking forward to getting those :D
