Actually i just finished reading it yesterday :D

I think the first 3rd was brilliant.Her point of view on the world was funny and small things how she compared God to Marx.The second 3rd was interesting aspeccialy the new characters and had a lot less imagination like the first 3rd and slightly boring but around the time she was homeless the novel was incredibly dull and not entertaining.

I saw the movie one year ago, and I must say your comparaison with the Dark Knight is quite relevant.

They should definitely do more traditional and original animation movies like this one, especially nowadays,almost everything is pre-packed and CGI.

I do agree, I hadn't seen anything like it. But it took me multiple viewings to really understand it, and once I did I enjoyed it more than the initial viewing.

A Batman: The Long Halloween animated movie.......animated in the EXACT SAME STYLE AS THE BOOK IS DRAWN. But then again, This is DC we are talking about. They get movies out as fast as a parylyzed turtle, huping a duck, that has no legs.

even so, they are still completely different, and you shouldn't compare them just because they are based on comics. road to perdition and tank girl are both based on comics, and you wouldn't compare them to eachother.

i'm not particularly having a go at you or DCE, it's just a pet peeve of mine that i want to get off my cheast. and you should seriously go read maus, DCE. when you're done with watchmen.

The first thing I thought after watching this, while I was leaving the theater, was "and we want to bomb that country..."

I had a friend who watched it with me who knew nothing of Iranian politics and it really moved her.

I told her that, had America not supported a dictator there in the 1950's, Iran might not be as messed up as it is now.

It is a very good movie! I went to the cinema to watch the premier in german dub and have also senn the original version subbed!

Thanks a bunch Random!!! I just finshed this movie a couople hours ago & I was amazed on how beatuiful yet how seious this movie is(unlike most Hollywood movies). Besides marjane, her grandmother was my favorite character. This film will defintely stand the test of time like "Graveyard of Fireflies."
