  • Glee can do this song no justice.

  • Susan Boyle, Lea Salonga and Ruthie Henshall just gave their best for the existence of the song....... I would like to thank them for their contribution...... Without them ... Les Mis will die ....

  • Anyone who agrees with Noel is wrong. I also knew about this song before Susan Boyle. One of the greatest songs ever written. Lyrics and all. But Susan Boyle brought it out to public and showed everyone what real music was. You should be happy that people watch this stuff because of her, not sad because people watch this because of her. Although I do agree it should be kept original. Not made into a Glee version and all.

  • we should pay tribute to the originals..

  • If Les Mis had a video game, this would be awesome. XD

  • stop being a fucking hater! it was good she sang it because it got people interested in something other than the crap we listen to today!

  • cann u send me the link to download it please casue i wanna use it for an audtion ?? .x :) thank yhu

  • wonderful

  • NIGGAS

  • Hello Jack!

I noticed that you are from... Leeds? WOW! Your spanish is really good! Congrats!

    NOEL:=)

    MEXICO

  • Copy and Paste if Susan Boyle brought you here

  • It's not sad.

I haven't ever heard this marvellous song "before Susan".

Now i know it, and i'm richer.

    Isn't this the important thing?

  • yes it is very much so

  • I find it sad how a great song like this was only just discovered by many ppl because of Susan Boyle. This song is a great song and has been for 25 years, and should have been known by many long before now.

However, I am in no way hating Susan Boyle, and in fact think that she did justice to this song in her singing. i hope she goes on to become a great singer.

  • tomboy555, I've seen this movie several times but I do not remember hearing this song. It indeed is beautiful and I'm sure I would remember it if I had heard it in the movie. I'm going to see if I can order the DVD and watch it. The scene where the movie is sung must be so obscure. I agree that Susan Boyle sang this number very well, I like to listen to Susan and I wish her well with her singing career.

  • It's in the musical version of les mis. not the movie.

  • @conyelp There are more than 10 movies made about the books of Victor Hugo so there is a huge chance that you didn't heard it !

  • AnneliesVf, from other comments I've seen on here it isn't in any of the movies it's in the stage production which can often be different from any movie they make. Can anyone verify this for me, just for information??

  • The only movie I know of, the movie I have, is the story of Les Mis but it isn't a musical. It's got Liam Nieson in it and Geffory Rush. Two famous actors. Anyways if that's the movie your talking about there the song is not in there because the movie is not a musical.

  • Laineyfirly, yes, someone in private has already explained to me that this song is only heard in the stage production or the play. The closest city I could get to is San Francisco if a production of it ever comes there. Thanks for your comments.

  • I knew about this song way before Susan Boyle sang it. I think it's sad that everyone just watches this because she sang it. I think the original singers are still better than susan boyle. I love Les Mis.

  • I agree with you. This song is so beautiful! Greetings

    Noel :)

    MEXICO

  • Yes plus Lea Salonga sings a whole lot better than susan

  • @Noel373do not understand a shit then

  • @Noel373 You're right, the book and the play are memorable.

  • @Noel373 I think when viral videos expose songs (or books or whatever) like these, it's a blessing none the less. I'm glad she sang it, so now I know of the song

  • i totally agree with you Noel as a musical theatre performer myself i have known and sung this song for many years. i really like susan boyle but it makes me laugh how people think of her when they hear this song and not the amazing performers on the West End who have been singing this for over 25 years!

  • @Noel373 isn't it best that anytime a song is brought to the forefront is a blessed thing ? no matter the artist.

  • @markycub1964

Right! Not everyone's heard of Les Mis. Hearing Susan Boyle sing this introduces people to one of the most amazing musicals that ever existed. =D

  • @Noel373 Exactly. You want to know what annoys me more? GLEE. ugh. people sing it in the style of glee. it makes me cringe and what to put tape over their mouths.

  • @Jonnyriffic absolutely!

  • @Noel373 "but the tigers come at night.. (but the tigers come at night) with their voices soft as thunder.. as they tear your hope apart (as they tear your hope apart)..."

  • @Noel373 I'm sure they're better instrumental versions than this lame attempt.... Where is my Danny Wright CD???

  • I agree with icollins69, this was a great song before its a shame really

  • Copy and Paste if Susan Boyle brought you here

  • Copy and Paste if Susan Boyle brought you here

  • Copy and Paste if Susan Boyle brought you here

  • OK Susan Boyle is brilliant, but for god sakes this song and this musical has been around for nearly 25 years! Why is it everyone only talks about it now?

  • Copy and Paste if Susan Boyle brought you here

  • how do you not know about this song its from a very famous musical

  • Copy and Paste if Susan Boyle brought you here

  • it is sad that no one knew about this song until Susan Boyle sang it.

  • I agree. :/
